Sigyn pulled herself across the bridge, trying not to attract the attention of Hela. She reached for her discarded dagger, this apparently caught Hela's attention. She sent a sword threw the end Sigyn's cape trapping her to the bridge.

Her hand withdrew from the outreached dagger as she looked back. She tugged her cape, trying to pull it free.

Meanwhile, Brunnhilde dragged herself towards her discarded sword. Hela decided to go after her instead.

"Hela, enough!" Thor yelled as he stood, the pike removed from his shoulder. "You want Asgard, it's your's!"

"Whatever game you're playing at, it won't work." Hela turned her attention to the prince, turning her back to Sigyn and Brunnhilde. "You can't defeat me."

"No, I know."

Sigyn stopped trying to pull her cape free when something horrific caught her sight. The palace behind Thor, alit with fire as it slowly creeped up to the top levels. Her eyes widened with shock.

"But he can." Thor pointed a thumb over his shoulder as the palace exploded with fire. The fire demon, Surtur emerged as tall as the mountains with a sword in hand. He let out a great roar, finally free.

 "No

"No." Hela cursed.

Sigyn finally ripped her cape free, causing a tear in the fine fabric. Brunnhilde was finally on her feet, she took a run towards Hela's turned back and leaped, driving her sword threw her chest. Brunnhilde slid across the bridge while Hela was face down, a sword threw her back.

Thor brought down another lighting strike down on Hela, one so powerful that it broke the bridge and sent her into the sea below.

"Tremble before me, Asgard!" Surtur's voice rumbled through the planet as he brought down his sword on the city, destroying everything

"The people are safe." Sigyn says. "That's all that matters."

The three turned to Surtur who continued to destroy the city.

"We're fulfilling the prophecy." Thor said.

"I hate this prophecy." Brunnhilde replied.

"So do I, but we have no choice." Thor agreed, "Surtur destroy's Asgard, he destroy's Hela so that our people may live. But we need to let him finish the job, otherwise—"

Thor was cut short by Hulk who roared and leaped into the air towards Surtur.

"No!"

Sigyn sighed heavily, as Hulk landed a powerful blow to the fire demon's face

Sigyn sighed heavily, as Hulk landed a powerful blow to the fire demon's face.

"Hulk, stop, you moron!" Thor yelled like he could hear from up there.

The Hulk continued to pound punches into Surtur's crown, until Surtur picked him up with the tip of his fingers and flung him back across the sky and into the bridge.

"Hulk, stop!" Thor ordered angrily, "Just for once in your life, don't smash!"

"Big monster!" Hulk complained.

"Let's go!" Brunnhilde ordered the green creature.

"Fine." Hulk ran across the bridge towards the three Asgardians. He scooped them up in his arms and jumped up towards the ship. They landed on the platform as the doors closed behind them.

Thor, Sigyn, Brunnhilde and Hulk all made they're way into the main hall where the people were all gathered, families huddled together and were children cried with fear.

Sigyn scanned the crowd, looking for Loki, her heart pounded in her chest. She hoped he managed to get out alive.

"I am Asgard's doom!" Surtur's voice boomed.

The four made their way to the window to watch. They stood with Heimdall, Korg and Miek, watching as Surtur lifted his sword into the sky and then drive it into the heart of Asgard.

"The damage is not to bad." Korg tried to lighten the mood. "As long as the foundations are still strong, we can rebuild this place. It will become a haven for all peoples and alien's of the universe.

A bright light erupted and with a defying boom, Asgard exploded as a bright light that rocked the solar system.

"Those foundations are gone. Sorry."

They watched in the distance as their home turned into a burning ball of light, as it continued to expand into nothing.

"What have I done?" Thor mumbled sorrowfully.

"You saved us from extinction." Heimdall reminded.

"Asgard is not a place... it's a people."
