*Starting Scene*

A Vulpes shifts its gaze towards Sebastian while speaking with a hint of concern portrayed. "No connection is available, sir!"

Sebastian momentarily exhibits agitation before doing a double-take between Harper and Kairi as seriousness forms. "Got any idea what's causing it?"

Harper makes eye contact with Sebastian, matching the male's personality. "It can't be the Black Ops. The Jammer doesn't reach this far from the planet." The Caucasian draws his concentration to the Syndicate members. "There isn't a single craft nearby, correct?"

A few of the suited characters firmly answer Harper's question via shaking their head after viewing the gentleman.

Kairi brims impatience as she has her arms folded together and fidgets her right leg. "My motherly instincts are going haywire! We must move, fast!"

Harper glimpses at Kairi while restraining the urge to laugh prior to focusing onward. "I agree." He specifies his vision towards Virago, which is a considerable distance away. "Let's stick close to them until we manage communication. If anything major were to turn up, we'll be quick to counteract it."

Sebastian nods with his sight resting upon his comrades. "Fine, although I don't know how we'll do much against half-decent threats. Our cannon was demolished and it looks like your allies aren't equipped for head to head combat."

Harper's quite intrigued. "Valid point. I have to discuss why they're lacking that. How were they able to last so long in space, hunting down criminals? They'd require a high caliber crew to at least secure their safety from attacks." The adult chuckles with an impressed demeanor established. "Actually, it's the most reasonable explanation and that's simply incredible. Obligates me to think that we shouldn't fret too much for our inability of contacting them. Them being here is evidence of how formidable they can be."

*Scene Change*

Virgil intently watches Callahan, silent to the extent that he's mainly listening to his own breathing, and a mild humming produced from Alpha.

Callahan faintly moves his Glock farther from Lacey as that compels Eve and Fey to ready themselves to implement an attempt in rescuing the mechanic.

Doyenne hurriedly sways her body to obtain her friends' attention while solemnly whispering, "He's luring us. There's no opening for you two right now."

Eve and Fey instill their gaze onto Doyenne with tension enveloping them.

Suddenly, Callahan utters with confidence emitted, "You're smarter than most. You remember how well I was fairing with the star and learned that I took this woman hostage to minimize the effort I'd have to put. So, I'll ask you. Who are you willing to offer up?"

Anemone gulps out of nervousness before gingerly commenting, "V, I think I oughta'-"

Virgil harshly interrupts Anemone in a low volume, ensuring that the speakers won't convey their conversation. "Hell no! You understand that Callahan is ranked above A True Villain! We can't neglect why that is by trusting him!"

Callahan eventually adds to his previous speech. "It was kind of rhetorical. If you chose to sacrifice this chick, I'd kill her, everyone else in the room and then take the Asian by force. I'm trying to make things easier in general, but..." The Irish steadily brings the muzzle of his weapon back onto Lacey's head.

Doyenne abruptly shouts with a hint of a pleading tone included, "Wait!"

The Victress members hastily gawk at Doyenne, wondering what their leader intends on doing, as curiosity lightly shows itself from Callahan's expression.
