Episode 31: When Opportunity Knocks

*Starting Scene*

Rushing to the Bridge, Anemone eventually depicts a barrage of lasers soaring around Virago, several narrowly missing the ship and promptly erupt as that causes Virago to experience tremors. During that, the blue-haired chick maintains herself standing via grabbing the counter Marie's situated as she asks to nobody in specific, "Who's firing at us?!"

Tessa instantly responds while attentive of her screen. "The Lacertas! They're blocking our way to the border of Andromeda with the biggest armada I've ever seen them deploy!"

Anemone's astonished as she steers her gaze to Tessa's posterior. "Isn't that Exca thing infecting their systems though?!"

Lita mounts her focus towards Anemone with agitation established. "Clearly that's not the case with them! Maybe it wasn't everything Crest Callahan made it out to be to Doyenne!"

Anemone views the grand monitor in front of her, the Lacertas' fleet persisting their assault from mostly the northern region of Virago's trajectory, and whispers to herself, "Unless they possessed a method to overcome it..."

Harper, having recently entered the vicinity with Kairi, briefly analyzes the enemy vessels prior to registering Oxford sitting besides Mamori's left thanks to the room available. After that, the adult rapidly travels towards the elderly lady as his sister goes to talk with Anemone since she noticed that Virgil isn't accompanying her. 

Upon Harper's arrival, Oxford makes eye contact with him while exhibiting a stern attitude. "The Lacertas are on the warpath, Captain Harper. They must've discerned the status of those affected by Exca and are taking action."

Harper solemnly inquires, "Have you attempted to communicate with Lt. Andrews?"

Oxford quickly remarks, "None of the lines are available."

Harper switches his concentration back to the Lacertas' armada. "So they're displaying their intelligence for once. I always thought we couldn't merely leave the technology they wield to the assumption that they stole it all from an advance civilization defeated by their massive numbers. Even if what they're using to resist Exca was originally created from the believed predecessors, the Lacertas obviously have considerable control over whatever it is."

Mamori, located towards Harper's right due to his current placement, cautiously speaks as she navigated her head westward to witness the male. "Um... I think it's a high-grade virus blocker..."

Harper implements his attention to Mamori and is quite skeptical. "Really? You honestly believe that the Lacertas only have that protecting them? They'd need to own an antiviral system which surpasses Earth 03's."

Mamori becomes a bit nervous, however, doesn't falter in her suggestion while nodding at Harper.

Harper randomly chuckles as he smirks in an impressed manner. "Alright then. It's simple, but not impossible. We can't be the best when so many different kinds of species exist."

Simultaneously, Kairi gives Anemone a scrutinizing look amidst containing her right hand on her hip. "You tried compelling Doyenne to tell you that she fancies Virgil?"

Anemone plants her left hand onto her forehead, her vision deviated eastward from Kairi, and utters with minor irritation portrayed, "Why did I bring that up? You just asked where V was and I went on a slight tangent after saying I'm not sure, mentioning what I did recently."

Kairi swaps her behavior to demonstrate pity. "And you possibly provoked her to admit her feelings to him. They could be together right now."

Anemone snaps her focus to Kairi, panicking. "They're what?!"
