Jennie. How. Stupid. Could. You. BE!

the entire night, jennie was contemplating what she should do. She really wanted to ask jisoo to be her girlfriend and nothing was stopping her so why not.

well, the fact that she lived in the city and jisoo lived right around the corner from school in a countryside village.

So jennie did the one thing she thought was logical. THEN.

in the morning, she finally built up the courage to ask her. so she simply pulled out her phone and went onto WhatsApp to text the words.

'hey, would you like to go out with me?'

yes, that's right. jennie TEXTED her if she would like jisoo to be her girlfriend. Texted. TEXTED?!

if there was anything that Jennie could change in Year 9, would be the fact that she would've asked her out in person. jennie now had the confidence to ask anyone if she really wanted to, but back then it was all new to the 14-year-old.

when she arrived at school, she knew that their first period would be drama and from the looks of it, jisoo hadn't read the message. so she contained her nerves and excitement as she went into drama, getting ready with irene to go down to the studio. the drama teacher was strict about having nothing slippery on since they could slip and have an accident, the drama teacher was also insistent on wearing shorts under their skirts so they wouldn't flash anyone. which was, of course, understandable but this old lady was insistent!!!

before jennie went down, she saw jisoo and decided to run up to her and take her arm daringly. jisoo looked at her confused but jennie wasted no time.

"check your phone." was all she said before pulling away and running through the doors to go into the studio. irene met her in the studio and smiled at her, an eyebrow raised in amusement. the other rolled her eyes and elbowed her best friend before sitting down for the lesson.

drama went on slowly and jennie couldn't wait to check her phone so she wanted this class to be over with even though this was one of her favourite lessons. they were practising how to stage a fight, using the scene from Midsummer's Night Dream as a perfect example. jennie enjoyed it but was the first one to shot out the doors to get changed. she pulled on her school uniform and checked her phone.

'yeah, sure'

for a 14-year-old back then, her heart exploded and joy filled her entire body. the brunette jumped and even let out a squeal, rushing out the building before stopping in her tracks and deciding to wait for jisoo instead. the second the ravenette walked out, she was met with jennie and was greeted with the smile on her face which meant she had read the messages.

they greeted each other and walked in comfortable silence before jennie spoke up. "who should we tell... now that we are... dating."

jennie could see the blush appearing on jisoo's cheeks and the two looked at each other. "tell who you want, but only who you trust." the elder replied, finally making it to their next period, science.
