jennie was bursting with excitement to see taehyung, waiting by the bike shed for jisoo to walk out. they were still a bit awkward but they had agreed to meet taehyung.
jennie slipped her hand into jisoo's comfortably as they walked in silence and when the silence became unbearable, jennie plugged her earphones into her phone and gave one to jisoo to listen to music together.
they comfortably listened to music together until they got to jisoo's house and jennie took her shoes off, slinging her bag next to her shoes and looked at her phone.
her face fell when she saw a text.
blondebae💛 can't come, i'm so sorry. i got a detention
are you... kidding me.
jennie looked back up at jisoo, turning all nervous before her. "tae can't come, he had detention." jennie let out a sigh, and let out her excitement.
she was so darn excited to see taehyung and now she was left alone with jisoo, in her house.
why was so nerve-wracking?
suddenly the atmosphere became so suffocating, jisoo was only a few footsteps away, just standing and looking at jennie with a blank, unreadable expression.
jennie debated on what to do, she could just leave and come home but she had told her mum that she was at a club until 5:30. she'd also feel extremely guilty as she'd leave jisoo and she was kind enough to let them both come over to her house.
"want to watch a movie?" jisoo asked, watching the conflicted eyes of jennie closely.
jennie nodded.
oh what a bad mistake.

"jennie what's wrong..?" jisoo asked, realising the girl next to her who was sharing a duvet with her, was indeed tearing up.
"jennie.." jisoo, turned to face the crying girl.
jennie couldn't tear her eyes away from the photo on the mantelpiece, a photo with jisoo's family with her grandmother. she only knew it was her grandmother in the picture because the photo frame had the word 'grandma' written on at the bottom.
she could only think of her precious grandma, back in her hometown, ill with a bad leg and spine. the whole family was worried she wasn't going to make it as she went to hospital for awhile.
jennie hadn't seen much of her grandma, jennie didn't see or feel connected to her family compared to other people. she only felt like it's her, her sister and mother against the world.
