My heart slowly beats,

my muscles to weak to hold the phone still to my ear,
I can feel the teardrops falling one by one like a song on repeat.
The voice in the background also fading and mixing with my thoughts.
So many questions, so many I want answered.
She can't leave me just yet, the whole family will be lost.
The oldest member has passed.
Like a sweet snowflake slowly melting, deterioating then becoming nothing but the teardrop escaping my big brown eyes.
Fast forward a couple days and it's time for her to get prayed on by the family and friends and strangers who come also to see her for the last time.
I was a child, I felt like an adult but in a petite body.
Everyone had a grave face.
It was eerily quiet with sobs and cries from someone every now and again.
She looks peaceful just a little paler than usual, her bones sticking out more than usual making it more like a vampires face.
But then again she still looks gorgeous, just like a queen should be. She was everyone's happiness, everyone looked upto her.

She was my great grandmother.
