Tyler was a nervous wreck on the way home from school. What if the school had contacted Zack and told him he wasn't in one of his classes? He's not sure if it even works like that, and his older brother hadn't texted him or anything, but what if he was gonna surprise the boy with his wrath when he arrived home?

He notices Josh watching him from his peripheral and does his best to keep the guilt from showing as he meets his boyfriend's eyes. What if Josh wouldn't approve of him skipping? One of Brendon's and Pete's friends had asked if he would, and honestly, that's a question Tyler would like the answer to himself. Maybe not this way-he doesn't want the other to be upset or disappointed in him.

"Everything okay, baby boy?" he asks the brunet, who blushes and nods. Josh frowns a little as he looks to the smaller boy. "You look anxious."

"Just about going home," Tyler tells him, which isn't really a lie. "Don't wanna see Zack."

"Did something happen?"

Tyler shakes his head before resting it on the other's shoulder, "Just, like, still don't really wanna be around him."

Josh wraps an arm around his boy and gives him an affectionate squeeze, "I'd bring you to my place but my parents are gonna be around."

"I wish we could both go back to Marie and Brendon's house," Tyler says as the bus makes a stop-it's their stop. "Or something."

"I should take you out again this weekend," Josh decides aloud as they get off, walking towards Tyler's house.

The brunet blushes and can't stop the smile that breaks out, "Yeah."

"Just us this time," Josh adds. "Last time was a disaster."

"And not rollerskating."

"You're so cute on rollerskates."

"I nearly died on rollerskates."

Josh chuckles a little, and Tyler suppresses a giggle as his heart flutters a little.

The nerves return as soon as Josh is walking towards his own house, leaving Tyler alone at his front door. Worst case scenario, Tyler opens the door and Zack is waiting for him on the other side and jumps his ass on spot. Best scenario, Zack drops at his feet and kisses them, tells him about how much he's missed him during the eight hours he was away at school, and gives Tyler permission to marry Josh.
