The night Peter came home, both Aunt May and I were there to greet him. She held him in her arms for quite some time before he could walk over to me. But when he did, I held him tighter than I ever have before. Peter returns the gesture while gently placing a kiss on my cheek.

"I'm okay now." he whispers.

"Peter..."

"I'm serious, Erin. Everything's okay now." he says with sincerity. But as I pulled away, I could tell it wasn't going to be.

A "Spiderman Mania", as they called it, soon swept the school. And Peter still was intent on finding this Vulture guy. To the point where he was skipping class. We were both walking to our next class, well Peter was more like bouncing his way to class when we ran into Ned. Both of them fanboyed about how crazy it was to be famous and not famous all at the same time. I chose to stay quiet until Peter said he was skipping.

"Okay, Peter, you know I support you bein Spiderman as much as you support me being Fade. But we both need to put school first!" I exclaim.

"Erin, I am so far beyond high school right now." he says while walking to the exit, only to be ambushed by the principal who sent him straight to detention. I sigh quietly and walk to my next class with Ned who was still giddy. I, on the other hand, did not feel the same way. While sitting in class, I hear the same screech that emits every time Peter picks up more web fluid from under his locker. And that's when I knew what I had to do.

"You did the right thing, Bitsy." Dad reassures me while we drive towards the ferry.

"Yeah but it still doesn't make me feel better." I say while clicking my mask over my face.

"Look if this guy is as dangerous as you say... you made the right call." he says while parking.

"Let's just get this done and over with," I reply. "Are you sure these jets are gonna work?"

"Yup. Tested them myself." Dad replies while suiting up in his own armour. I look out at the open water to see bluish purple lights emitting from the ferry as it begins to crack in half.

The sight doesn't make me feel any better. I still feel like a three-year-old tattling to their father. But I knew that this was the only way to keep Peter from killing himself as well as keeping others safe.

"You ready?" I ask to which Dad nods. We both fly off towards the boat that is quickly splitting into two separate halves. I fly in between the halves and as my hands glow a bright purple, I pull the two halves back into one. I hear the cheers from civilians in the boat, all of them screaming either Dad or my personas. I soon feel relief since Dad's mini jets had arrived and were keeping the boat together. Letting go of the boat and dropping to the ground, I hold my hands out and grab onto the entirety of the top of the ship. Gripping onto every piece of the torn edges, I fold them into each other and fuse the crack back together. Turning around I see Peter a few feet away from me, obviously talking to Dad who now hovers in front of him.

The two of them swing or fly off, one after the other and I reluctantly follow. Once I land there, a fight had already broken out between them as Dad demands his suit back. Peter begins to panic as Dad tears up at the fact that he sounds like his own father. Dad turns back to me as he walks into his own suit.

"Erin can you get him some new clothes and bring the suit back with you?" he asks while flying away.

I look up to see Peter's heartbroken face as he looks at me.

"Peter..." I sigh.

"Don't. Just don't." he snaps.

"I just didn't want yo-"

"Didn't want me to get hurt? You can't use that excuse every time, Erin!"

"Well, this time it was different! Both you and other people were at stake. You were skipping school and never sleeping. Even I still attend class and sleep, Peter. I didn't know what else to do." I explain.

"Let's just go." he mumbles while looking down and walking away from me. It felt like my heart had shattered.
