The feeling of his chest felt right. The way your head fits perfectly in the crook of his neck felt right. The fresh air of May felt right. The morning sunrise was the cherry on top. He had snuck over to your house early morning and begged you to join him on the rooftop to watch the sun emerging from the skyline. And since you were too nervous to sleep any longer, you agreed. It wasn't especially cold, but you pressed your body closer to him. He began playing with your hair.

"How are you feeling about today?" he asked.

"I think I might throw up on stage." you said seriously. The senior class voted on a speaker and it was between you and Namjoon. It wasn't a surprise for Namjoon because he's good at speeches, so you feel inferior compared to him. You both took parts in writing it because Namjoon wanted to see your writing in action.

"Don't say that. You'll do amazing. We went over the speech many times already."

"Yes, and I always stumble on a word or two."

"We're not all perfect. Don't beat yourself up for it." he said softly. "Actually you are perfect, so don't beat yourself up for it." he corrected himself. He looked down at your head and sighed. Every part of him was completely in love with you. He nudged your head up, you turned back to look at him in confusion.

"What's wrong?" you asked, tilting your head.

"I'm looking at the most beautiful things right now. The most radiating thing that gives off so much warmth and a collage of color. The thing that makes my world go around. And the other is the sun." When you finally understood what he meant. You couldn't help but blush. He grinned in satisfaction and pulled you in for a kiss. He didn't let go immediately. His lips moved more urgently, a sense of desperation and desire. Eventually, he rolled over and hovered on top of you. His hands cupped your cheek and your hands roamed his back and hair. "Fuck, I can't resist you." he groaned.

"I don't want you to." you whispered, which made him kiss you deeper. You opened up a little to let his tongue explore you. It was hot, your heart was pounding, and your skin ablaze with every touch of his hands.

"I'll miss you so fucken much." he said once he pulled back. In his eyes, you saw tears.

"Baby," you whispered, caressing his cheek. "I'll miss you too."

He wiped his eyes. "Sorry, this isn't the time to do it. I'm going to enjoy every second with you today."

You smiled. "Please don't hold your emotions in. You can tell me anything."

"No, no. Today will be a happy day because you're here right by my side." He helped you up to your feet and wrapped the blanket around you.

"Don't do anything weird." you remind him.

"Like what?" he asked innocently.

"Kim Namjoon. Get your hand off my butt." you sighed.

"Not until you get your hand off my chest."

"Touche."

After getting off the roof, you both bid each other goodbye. Once again, Kim Namjoon is terrible at goodbyes even though you told him you would see each other at school in literally an hour. He was pouting as he ran back home. Your mom was awake by the time you got back to your room. She gave you a smirk but also a warning look.

"Come, I'll help you in your dress." she said, pulling on your hand as she used to when you were a little girl. The dress went to your ankle, a white halter dress that hugged your body. You sat in front of the mirror while your mom out your hair in an updo. Her hand was shaking a little and when you looked up, she was crying.

"Eomma," you gasped. While hugging her, the weight of what will happen finally fell down on you.

"I'm sorry. I promised myself I wouldn't do this. I'm just so proud of you, and you're going to do amazing things in the future."

"Eomma, I love you so much. Thank you for supporting me all my life." After crying into each other's arms for 10 minutes, she went back to her room to sleep for a couple more hours before meeting the rest of the parents at school. Jennie's car was waiting out in the front, Tzuyu was already inside, along with Seulgi and Lisa. They had on their black robes and their caps already decorated.

"Ready for the start of forever?" Jennie asked.

"Now or never baby." you answered confidently. Seniors were shuffling into the school, some running, and some wandering the hallways for the last time. The auditorium was set up early in the morning by staffs and all the students gathered inside. Everything was a bit chaotic at the moment, everyone was scramming to get to their seats. You could see Namjoon subtly but not so subtly scanning the room to find you and once he did, he couldn't hide his smile. The rest of the students took their seats down on the main floor while you and Namjoon would be up on stage along with Jennie.

Soon after, parents filled into the room, holding flowers and or balloons. You saw your mom with Namjoon's parents. Next to them was Bang P.D, which shouldn't surprise anyone because he watched the trio grow up. The band and orchestra started playing softly as the principal introduced herself and the graduation. "I know you've waited for this day for quite some time now. They're all grown up and they will continue to grow, this time, on their own. Students, please always remember to thank your parents. Now let us proceed with the class representative speech. Please welcome Namjoon and Y/N." The room cheered, there were even some screaming for Namjoon.

You tapped into the mic and began. "It feels surreal to be here, and it feels even more astonishing to know that we're not done learning yet. Our brain is constantly trying to absorb knowledge, so always be open to learn and to fall. Falling doesn't sound ideal but we have to trust our feet and we have to trust that gravity will pick us up every single time. Like the embrace and encouragement of our mother and father. The road we will embark on won't be like this, it won't be hand-holding and sometimes, it will be extremely lonely. But the loneliness makes the time together even more special. When I drink a cup of coffee in the morning or when I see the trees rustling, I'll think of all of you the memories we have shared together. My message to you all is to hold on and embrace every millisecond you can." You stepped back as the crowd cheered.

Namjoon nodded as a sign that you did a great job and started his portion. "When I told my parents I wanted to be an idol, they looked at me with confused eyes. They said I was a bright kid, too bright to not use my knowledge to have a career more fulfilling. I didn't listen of course. Too many times we are placed into a mold that doesn't match the shape of our soul. At a young age, we are told what to do, what not to do, and none of the choices fit us. We reside into ourselves, blocking our voices, blocking our lights, blocking our dreams. I used to look at and count the number of stars there were in the sky, it was as if counting my blessings. I used to wonder what impact I could have, it was a big dream, I know. But then I realized, if I could make a difference in one person's life, then that's worth fighting for. So I urge you to tell your story, to speak your truth, and to embrace your dreams to the fullest."

You joined him by his side to finish the speech. "Our mistakes are not reflections of us, they are the footsteps that will take us to journeys worthwhile. They are the stars in the constellation of our galaxies. So tell us, what is your name?"

When the crowd stood up, the nerves vanished from your body and you couldn't feel anything else but happiness. Behind the podium, Namjoon grabbed your hand, both your robes hiding it for the people on the stage. He leaned over to your ear.

"I'm Kim Namjoon and I will love you for the rest of my life."

A/N

I hate how I wrote this speech is so much better than my valedictorian one.
