Am I the kind of girl you take home to your family? The kind of girl that gets the stamp of approval and gets to look through the guys baby pictures as he groans in embarrassment. Am I that kind of girl? To an extent, yes but then again I wasn't sure. Despite my colorful vocabulary, I could be. Growing up my Mom taught me manners how to be polite and primp. I knew how to eat with the right silver wear and sit with my back straighter than I rode. I knew etiquette, but for some reason I felt like maybe that was to much. That my debutante demeanor would come off as " bougie" or stuck up.

The Ralston Family

Was very different from my own. There living environment being the first obvious example. It was a 2 story white farm house with endless fields of the greenest grass I had ever seen with children running around it. One was at least 7 and wore a pink flowered sundress, the other was older, a tween in dirt-covered overalls and a white shirt underneath. Her long dark hair blew broadcasting her joyous smile and green braces as they chased the large Golden Shepard around the field. The front porch had a numerous amount of wind chimes that sung with the breeze and a swing bench. It was the kind of things you saw in movies. The blue sky, the beautiful home l modest yet, had enough room for the family.

We didn't go unnoticed.

As Jasper approached the home. Their eyes gleamed in excitement sprinting towards the car. Even Jasper wore a smile, the biggest one I had ever seen. I didn't get, why didn't he stay here with his sister? This place clearly had more to offer him then the east side.

My stomach turned and nerves scattered through my body.
With panic as I looked down at my outfit. My high waisted denim skirt hugged my thighs.

Is it to short?

I tried to go with a more causal look. A high waited denim skirt and and a red sweater with a pair of nude brown pumps. Along with a tennis bracelet wrapped around my wrist.

Sensing my nerves Jasper placed his large on on my exposed thigh tingles rushing down my body as he gave it a light squeeze. I looked at his eyes that where sincere and soothing.

" They'll love you."

I hope so.

The car came into park and Jasper stepped out of the car.

" Bubbaa!!" They screamed racing towards him both of them leaping into his arms. Jasper's laugh echoed in the sky as he wrapped his arms around his 2 sisters and spun around.

They adored him.

"Good to know I've been missed." He chuckled while putting them back on the ground.

" I'm so happy you're here. Nana's been dragging us to Bingo Hall every Tuesday." The older one said, I watched as her hands moved effortlessly also communicating in ASL as she spoke.

" I like it, last time we even won a..." The younger ones words trailed and her hands paused no longer using ASL as she thought the way to say the word in Sign Language.

" Laptop!" She chimes in excitement as she finally got it signing the word with enthusiasm her little fingers moving confidently. Jasper smiled proudly at his sisters advancement. " Good Job Minnie ." He praised ruffle her hair.
