"Son, why do you need to leave? You can just stay here during weekends like you usually do." Mom said. She looked worried but a bit upset after knowing what I decided to do.
"Mom." I called her. She glanced at me for a second and mouthed, "What?" I smiled a little and continued what I was about to say.
"I need to do this Mom. My career is getting bigger and I need to focus. I want to stay with you here but it'll be harder for me. Imagine me taking a long ride from Seoul to here after working an entire day." I really was trying to convince her. I don't want to leave our house without her permission. I love her too much.
"Son-" She's tearing up. Aish. I don't like seeing this. I walked towards her and hugged her.
"Mom. I will be fine. I promise. Trust me." I assured her. I know she needs it. She needs me to promise her that I will be okay without her.
"Okay. If that's what you want. I'll support you. Just don't hesitate to come home whenever you feel like to. You can always take a break. I love you son." Mom said and kissed my forehead. I hugged her tightly afterwards and whispered, " I love you too mom, and thank you."
