a song demonstrating how underrated you think a musical is
i think the song "when the booth goes bright" from 'amélie' is the single most underrated and beautiful song in musical history. i can't even express in words the way that this song makes me feel. the melody, the lyrics, the vocals... everything is perfect. adam chanler-berat has the purest voice i've ever heard.
'amélie' is just such a beautiful show in general, and i feel like this song definitely highlights that. it's just so warm and comforting, but so bittersweet at the same time. i don't really know how else to explain my love for this song (and the musical 'amélie').
my answer for today is "when the booth goes bright" from 'amélie'. this is definitely in my top favorite songs of all time. i never get tired of listening to it. i highly recommend it if you've never heard it before (same goes with all of amélie).
