a song from your favorite musical
i honestly can't believe i made it this far. i thought for sure that i'd give up after like, five days. but here i am!!! i'm probably going to do a follow-up entry after this one to summarize all of the previous days and my thoughts a little bit.
anyways, i'm sure at this point that everyone knows what my answer for this day is going to be. it's 'hamilton'. surprise, surprise (though, 'in the heights' and 'amélie' are really close seconds). i just love 'hamilton' so much... i don't think i'm going to say that much about it, since it's pretty much the only thing i've talked about for the past 30+ days of doing this challenge. if you really care to know more, you can read my ✦let's talk about musicals✦ book. that sounded really passive aggressive for some reason, sorry, lol.
but yeah, i love 'hamilton' more than anything. it's what got me into all of these other musicals, and just other genres of music in general. it got me through a pretty rough time a few years ago. it's my go-to musical whenever i'm not in the mood to do anything else. it's so beautiful and amazing and i'm honestly gonna tear up just thinking about, lmao.
i think "history has its eyes on you" is my favorite song from 'hamilton' at the moment, so that's going to be my answer for today. i think it's a good one to end this challenge on, too. even though no one actually read this, it was still really fun to do. like i said, i'm gonna do a brief summary soon in case anyone is actually interested. stay tuned for that, i guess.
