It was getting dark as we walked around a darker part of the forest. Although nothing seemed wrong, I couldn't help but feel like someone, or something was watching us.
Mainly, me.
"Raya, what's the matter?" Tk asked, looking up at me with worried eyes. I looked down at the small boy and smiled, gently rubbing his head.
"I'm fine, don't worry about me." I said. Tk sighed and frowned at my smile.
Matt looked over at me and frowned just like his little brother.
"Why does she keep smiling like that?" He thought.
"Guys, the sun's down, we should stop for the night." Sora said.
"Yeah, I think that's a good idea. But where should we sleep?" Joe asked.
I smiled and suggested, "Why don't we just sleep out here?" Everyone looked at me in surprise.
"Oh, come on you guys, it's good to sleep outdoors." I said cheerfully.
"YeaI, why not? It's too dark to find a place to sleep anyway." Tai agreed.
I laughed as I dropped to the ground. Luna smiled and climbed into my arms, snuggling deeper into my warmth.
It wasn't long before everyone became sleepy. Tk and Matt slept close to me, although, it was a little awkward when Tk snuggled with me and Luna.
But it felt nice. It felt like I was back to being an eight year old. When Matt, Tk and I would stay over at each other's houses and play until we eventually fell asleep together.
"Hold on Tai!" A young voice yelled, jolting us awake.
I sat up, holding onto Tk so he sat up with me.
"What's going on?" Tk sleepily asked, rubbing his eyes.
"Did you guys hear that?" I asked.
They looked at me like I was crazy.
"No, what did you hear, Raya?" Mimi asked.
"Someone called for Tai." I replied, making said boy stare at me curiously.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"Someone called for-"
"Tai!" The same voice yelled again. This time everyone heard it.
"What was that?" Izzy asked.
"That was the voice I heard from before." I said.
"Hold on," Tentomon said, pointing away from us, "What's that over there?"
Our eyes followed the direction Tentomon was pointing. Wr all gasped when we saw a couple of glowing figures in the distance.
There were two kids, about seven or eight years old. One hair short orange hair and held a blue bat in her hand. The other was a boy with big brown hair, running away from the orange haired girl.
"Tai, wait up! The game isn't going anywhere!"
"But if I'm late, my friends will chew me out!"
The two kids ran closer to us, until we got a good look at them.
"What the heck is this?" Joe asked.
"Are those...?" Sora trailed off.
"Those kids are you and Tai." Matt exclaimed, just as surprised as the rest of us.
The two kids ran past us and faded away into the shadowed trees.
"What the heck was that?" Tk asked.
