Another mermaid swam up to the rock with you both. He had thick hair and bold lips, along with sharp eyes and features. As he swam you could catch glimpses of his deep purple tail. He leaned his elbow up against the rock.
“Well, how did you wash up here?” He stated in a flirty manner. He gently grabbed your hand and brought it to his lips. Jungkook glared at him.
“Knock it off, Jimin.”
“What? It’s not my fault she’s as pretty as you said she was”
You blushed at Jimin’s statement and looked down. You weren’t really used to people calling you pretty. Wait...Jungkook talked about you?
“Why are you here anyways?” Jungkook asked, clearly annoyed.
“Oh come on, when you said you were helped by a cute girl, I couldn’t help but to wonder what she looked like. What’s your name, cutie?” Jimin looked back at you and smirked.
You blushed a deep red. Damn myself for getting flustered easily. “Um, (Y-Y/N).” Why was this so hard?
He stared into your eyes, clearly amused at your flustered reaction and stuttering. You looked back down, but then you felt a finger under your chin as it gently lifted your head back up to meet Jimin’s gaze. You couldn’t help but stare back into his eyes.
Jungkook slapped Jimin’s hand away from you. “Would you stop?” He spat. “You’re making her uncomfortable.”
“Oh, and what were you going to do to her? At least I know how to serenade a lady.”
“That’s because your singing is magic. Now stay away from her. I don’t need you putting her under one of you stupid spells like last time.”
And with that outburst, Jungkook pulled you back into his arms and swam fast away from Jimin.
He didn’t say a word as he swam back to shore. You didn’t really know what to say, so you just kept quiet. Did Jimin really make him that upset? I mean, it seemed like something else was going on between them, but you didn't ask questions.
Jungkook took you back to where you found him the other day, in the opening between the rock wall. He set you down in the shallow water and you stood to get up. You turned to him.
“What was that about?” You asked cautiously.
He glared at you. He never looked at you like that. Did you do something wrong? He turned back towards the sea.
“Next time, maybe try not to get flustered by every guy that talks to you.”
Before you could say anything, he dove back under the water and swam away.
