Namjoon had left a couple of hours ago. You talked for a little while after he said he’d protect you. He then had to leave but said he’d come back another time.
You took some time getting used to the beach house. You wandered around and took a shower, just to relax from all that’s happened in the last few days.
It was now late afternoon and you decided to cook for yourself. You searched through various cupboards and the fridge until you found (favorite food(F/F)). You began preparing it.
After you had finished you left it to cook. You went back over to the screen door and stared out at the ocean and the beginning sunset. You sighed, fully relaxing. Until you spotted a figure approaching in the water. You studied them for a minute until you made out the mint green tail.
Yoongi. Of course.
You smiled to yourself as he came closer.
“Happy to see me?” He asked playfully, showing his gummy smile. “Namjoon told me you were staying here so I thought I’d visit.”
“I guess, what brings you here?” You propped open the screen door, letting in the slight ocean breeze.
“I don’t know. I got bored and thought of you.” He smiled again and lifted himself onto the bottom step. You sat down on the top step.
“So I heard Ateez found where you were staying?”
“Yup, that’s why I’m here.”
“Are you doing ok?”
“Yeah, for now.”
“Try not to worry about it too much, ok? We’re all here to protect you.”
You nodded, but another question popped into your head.
“Why are you guys so easily deciding to protect me? I’m mean I haven’t really done anything to deserve your protection but-”
You were cut off by the sound of your timer for your food.
“Excuse me for a second.” You stood up and went over to the kitchen and got your food. You set it aside to let it cool for a minute, before going back over to the doorway. He looked up at you.
“You making food?”
“Yeah.”
“What’d you make?”
“Uh, (F/F). You want some?”
He smiled brightly at you. “Sure.”
You giggled slightly and walked back to the kitchen. You got food and utensils for him and yourself and walked back over to where he was. You set it down for him and sat down.
You both began to eat in silence for a few minutes. Until Yoongi spoke up.
“It feels like forever since I’ve eaten normal food.”
You look over at him and he had already finished his food. You giggled slightly.
“Oh yeah, Namjoon said you were all turned into mermaids somehow.”
“Yeah, either heartbreak or feel in love with another mermaid.”
“What happened to you then?” You asked softly. He looked up at you.
“Fell in love. She understood me and always played along with me. It was cute whenever I won and she would get all pouty. But she never told me what would happen if I kissed her, so I did and turned into a mermaid.”
You nodded. “What happened to her?”
He stayed quiet. You finished your food and set the dishes together.
“You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.”
“No, it’s ok. She’s actually the one that turned all seven of us into mermaids. She basically used us, but after we all meet, we became friends, we realized how lonely she really was. But then-”
He paused for a moment.
“-Ateez kidnapped her. And none of us has seen her since.”
“Oh.” Was all you could say.
“Don’t worry about it though. In all honesty, you remind all of us of her.”
He smiled at you. You blushed slightly but smiled.
“Well, thanks for the food. But I should probably leave you to get ready for the night.”
“Ok. It was nice talking to you, Yoongi.”
“You too.”
With that, he turned away and headed out further to sea. And you stayed and watched until he was no longer within sight.
