They have been friends since the end of childhood. Azu was the tallest but then Kate and Cooper both got a growth spurt and now pretty much tower her. Kate and Azu both keep their tails up at the end because when they were younger everyone would step on their tails and it hurts, alot.
Cooper's horns and wings were originally just brown like his hair but then after a dying incident from Azu and Kate (This landed with everyone having orange in their hair for 6 months), Cooper decide to keep his horns and wings dyed at the tip.
Azu has her hair short in highschool but not in Middle School cause it follows true events.
Kate's just happy, but gets shy in highschool cause it's UA.
Ok now I'm gonna go nap or something cause I got a fever and I need to rest.
