Thomas

Male reader X Character

@Solvesborg this imagine is for u :) I'm doing something I honestly never done before (I just started writing not so long ago, so there's a lot of things I've never written lol), it's a malereaderXcharacter. I don't really know how to write a short version for this, so there's just gonna be one version, the long one. I hope u are happy with this, I tried...

Thomas was one of the later boys to reach the Glade. You've never been into guys all your life until you saw him. Strangely, you felt a connection with the runner, a feeling, like being attracted to a magnet. He was special, and you had a liking for him because of that. He was...different.

Everyday, you would watch him run into the maze and out of it. You liked it especially when he ran out, drenched in sweat, his shirt clinging onto his body, letting you make out every perfect curve of his muscles. You were pretty sure you were the only guy who was crushing on him. Sometimes, he would have at you or flash a charismatic smile that you would fall in love with. But you always acted cooly in front of him, not really showing any friendliness towards him. You didn't want him to see your vulnerable side and always acted strong in front of him.

One day, as you leaned against the tree, anticipating the arrival of the runner, he came running out of the maze, towards you.

"Hey, (y/n)! What's up?" Thomas broke into a genuine smile that made your heart skip a beat.

"Hi. Oh wow! You know my name! I'm so glad you finally noticed me! Was I invisible the whole time? Cool, I have a superpower now!" You replied sarcastically, making the boy's eyebrows furrow.

"Um...I'm sorry? I guess? I don't really talk to a lot of Gladers but I always see you here when I come back from the Maze, so I just wanted to be friendly."

"Yeah sure, you're so nice."

You knew that you were being a little too harsh but your stubbornness was too strong. You didn't want Thomas to think of you as weak or anything like that, so you were overly sarcastic with him, even meaner than your usual self. You didn't have much friends because of that, or maybe none at all. People didn't like the way you acted and just ignored you.

"Woah, woah. I'm just trying to talk to you. Why so sarcastic?" Thomas raised both his hands.

You kept quiet, shaking your head.

He chuckled, amused.

"Okay, I guess I'll talk to you later. I have to do my job now. See you at dinner." He exclaimed, already running off.

"Yeah sure. Have fun with your girlfriend!" You yelled.

You sat alone like always, munching on Frypan's sandwiches. You desperately hoped that Thomas was coming soon, wanting to talk to him. You had not much appetite and was just trying to search for the boy but he was nowhere to be seen.
