The sneaky seller rushed forward to the noble-looking lady and thrusted a jade hairpin in her face.
Before the maid by the lady's side could protect her, the seller had surreptitiously whispered something into her ear.
The maid stopped when she saw her miss signalling her to fall back.
Begrudgingly, Sui only tsked and looked away in irritation.
The seller grinned a sly smile, showing some blackened teeth and hurriedly scampered off after selling one of his hairpins.
Onlookers stared at the noble-looking female who had her face covered.
She looked graceful and gentle in her bearing as she held the orchid jade hairpin in her hand.
She clutched the hairpin tightly.
'Safe.'
Su Chen held it like a buoy that kept her afloat.
'Safe and soon.'
Su Chen turned back from the bustling market.
Today would not be the day for her to go about her business.
She needed to pack!

She will see him.
Su Chen hurriedly head back.
She did not realise that her quick steps had quickened into a slight run. An unbecoming sight in her noble dress.
