Ash's POV

i looked over at the voice and saw a blonde man wearing a Pokemon Ranger's Outfit, beside him was a brunette man wearing the same outfit, i got distracted and panicked when i heard mairin say "Petal Blizzard!" She called "Meganium use magical leaf" I said, Meganium was quick on her feet, they were both hit "Meganium finish this with body slam" I said "Florges dodg-" Mairin was cut off by Meganium body slamming Florges, as Meganium stepped off Florges Clemont called "Florges is unable to battle, which means Meganium wins!", Meganium ran to me and slammed me to the ground nuzzling me, i laughed and this and pat her head "Good job Meganium, you did very well" I said as she smiled brightly "Get some rest alright?" I asked, she nodded and i returned her to her poke ball, i sat up and stretched my shoulders "I didn't know you had a meganium Ash" The boy with blonde hair said, i looked at him and chuckled "Nice to see you too Virgil, Davy" I said, Virgil helped me up "Thanks" I thanked "It's no problem really" Virgil said "How long has it been since we last met?" Virgil asked "9 years i believe" I said, Mairin walked up to me "Thanks for the battle Ash" She thanked, i smiled and pat her head "No Problem Mairin, it was a great battle"i said, she smiled and ran back to Alain, "What are you doing here?" I asked "We wanted to watch the Last days of the Tournament, you know, before the performance battles" He said "shocking to see you here Virgil" Trip said coming over "Back at you Trip" He said "You too Davy" Trip said "I'm surprised you know me" He said "Ash told me some stories" Trip said, "Say, that small speech when you revealed yourself, i always wondered, what do you mean Betrayed?" He asked, i caught myself looking at May when he said that "They.. told me to give up my dream, Of becoming a Pokemon master" I said, ripping my attention away from May "Ouch, that must've hurt you a lot" Davy said "It hurt enough for me to hide away for 7 years" I said in a joking way, Virgil sighed and pat my back "What brings you down makes you stronger" Virgil said, this made me huff and smile "You think i don't know that?" I chuckled, he chuckled and pat my head "Well we'll have to go now, we'll be watching your match later" Virgil said and walked away with Davy "Interesting bunch aren't they?" Trip asked and looked at me "It's normal for me to see people like that by now" I said and went over to Alain and Mairin "So was that Battle up to your expectations?" I asked and pat her head "It was more than what i expected! How did you become so strong?" Mairin asked with a big smile, i chuckled at her "Lot's of training" I said and looked into her eyes "Non stop" I added, she got intimidated by my stare and flinched, i then smiled at her "It's unhealthy though, so don't try it" I said, she gulped and nodded, Alain then put a hand on my shoulder "You've become pretty intimidating Ash" Alain pointed out, i chuckled, my laughter faded as i looked at him straight in the eyes with a serious expression "Is that a bad thing?" I asked in a monotone voice, he looked at me and smiled, taking his hand off my shoulder "Nope, it's just a big change for you, you were always that happy kid back in kalos, the only time you were intimidating back then was the team we defeated Lysandre" Alain said "Lysandre.. it's been a while since I've heard that name" I said "Team Flare has definitely quieted down after that" Alain said "Is that so" I said, Alain was about to say something but i was cut off by Gary calling me "Ash!" He called, i turned to the direction of his voice "Yeah?" I asked "Where's Mr Ketchum?" He asked panting a bit, i looked at Misty who was Behind him panting, i noticed their hands, "Holding hands with Misty? you sly Vulpix" I said, Gary and Misty blushed and quickly separated "W-where's mister Ketchum ash?" He asked again "That, i don't know, actually now that you mention him, it's been pretty long since he left, we should look for them" I said, but i then turned to Alain and Mairin "How about you two?" I asked "We actually have to go back, Professor Sycamore said to be back before the sun goes down" Alain said "Alright, you guys stay safe" I said "we will, good luck on your match later" Alain said and left with Mairin "Now, let's look for my Dad" i said, we searched around the place, but to no avail we couldn't find them, we gave up near the end since we had a match coming up "say Gary, why were you looking for my Dad?" I asked "I wanted to ask him something.." gary said "What did you want to ask him?" I asked as i walked next to him to the Arena "It's.. about My Parents, if they're here.. you know Red and Yellow.. maybe.. just maybe my parent's are here too?" Gary said looking down, i sighed and pat his shoulder "They're here somewhere, if not physically, then mentally" I said comforting him "Thanks Ash" He thanked and smiled, we entered the Arena "Want me to Walk you to your Seats?" I asked Serena and the Girls "No it's alright, you need to Prepare for your Battle" Serena said "We'll take care of Serena and Angela" Misty said "Yeah, so don't worry" May said, i smiled "Alright, Cheer us on alright?" "We will!" They answered all at the same time "Good Luck Big brother!" Angela cheered, i chuckled and pat her head, kissing her forehead, and stealing a quick peck on the cheek for Serena, i winked at her and headed to the lockers, i soon heard squeals from Misty and May "You one sly fox" Gary Chuckled
