Chapter 52

               "Here we have it folks! The last battle for a spot in the Top 4! who will move forward and reach adversity?!" 

                As if a response, the crowd roared, yelled, cheered, and just utterly made noise, Ash stared out at the field, feeling this sudden excitement he hasn't felt for over 7 years, He smiled widely, and turned to the Yellow Ball of electricity on his shoulder "We're so close Pikachu... We're..."

"Please Welcome, Clemont from Lumios City and Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town!!!"

                Ash walked out onto the Field, Clemont following on his side, Ash felt his heart thump from excitement, something he hasn't felt in a long long time, he smiled, his adorable smile just showing how excited he is, Clemont noticed the change in his attitude and couldn't help but chuckle, he glanced back at Ash and hummed to himself "Looks just like the Ash I met 7 years ago..." He muttered to himself.

               This is a battle between Clemont and Ash Ketchum, this will be a 4 v 4 battle, substitutions are allowed, mega evolution is allowed, and the last Pokémon Standing will secure the place of the last and final Trainer in the Top 4" the Referee announced, his last sentence made the boy's go serious, 

                "You can do it Ash.." Serena muttered under her breath as the Referee raised his hand "Trainers!" He exclaimed, Ash and Clemont took their first Pokeball "Send out your Pokémon!" The Referee roared, letting his arm down, and in a blink of an eye Two Pokémon stood there.

                 "Look at this Folks! On the Field we have Clemont's famous Heliolisk And ASH'S GOODRA? This is the first we've seen of this Pokémon in the Tournament for Ash Ketchum! How will this turn out?!"

                  "Let's have a good battle, Ash" Clemont Mused with a smile, Ash couldn't help but chuckle "Let's have a Good one Clemont, no holding back!" Ash said with a bright smile, Clemont couldn't help but reminisce the past, He sighed closing his eyes before shooting his head up, and roared "Heliolisk Use Thunderbolt!" 

                   Ash Shivered at his opponents determination and countered "Use Bide Goodra! Keep receiving those attacks!" Goodra roared as he received the swift with it's body "Heliolisk Use Focus Blast!" Clemont quickly shot back.

                   Serena stared at Ash's back. her hand on her chest, clutching the piece of fabric over her heart, she then snapped back to reality after Bonnie reached out to her free hand "Are you okay Serena?" Bonnie asked, clearly worried.

                    "Oh, uh, I'm fine Bonnie, sorry, I was just staring into focus you know" Serena giggled, Bonnie sighed "There's no use In lying to me Serena, We've travelled together long enough for me to know if something's wrong with you" Bonnie stated.

                     Serena's figure slouched as she diverted her eyes to Ash once again "I've thought about it for... a Long time, but... Only now, do I realize..." Serena trailed off, he eyes starting to get damp "He's actually here, In front of me, continuing to chase after his dreams... after being brought down by everything..." Serena muttered, her voice shaking slightly.

                      "He's really strong huh?" Bonnie asked, gently patting Serena's back "I'm just thinking...What if he's actually holding everything in?" Serena wept "Of course He was holding everything In" a deep voice said from behind the girls, Bonnie and Serena turned back and saw Brock "Brock? what are you doing here?" Bonnie asked "The Lockers were stuffy" He said, walking down the stairs to the side and leaning on the frame in front of the girls.

                      "Ash is strong, but he's human" Brock mentioned, Making Serena hitch her breath "You would never think, that, that strong trainer down there, fighting in the Top 8, proving himself to the people who hurt him the most, would never cry, would never breakdown" He stated, "But the Truth is, the first night we spent on Night silver, he went in the woods, and cried, He cursed himself more than he cursed anybody else, he blamed himself for being weak, he blamed himself for not being able to prove himself to his friends, he blamed himself more than he blamed the true perpetrators" He Revealed, Straightening his posture and facing the two girls.

"That's why, he's here, To tell himself he was wrong, and that he isn't the one to be blamed"
