This made the crowd roar, Bonnie Hesitated before stepping out onto the field, Making her way onto her spot on the field "Another interesting pair, Paul, who was known as one of Sinnoh's greatest trainers, and Bonnie, the Little sister of Clemont, The Electric Type gym leader of Lumios City!" The Emcee pointed out
Bonnie Looked over at Paul Nervously, Paul only returned a small and Gentle smile, trying to calm her down, whilst seeing the evident nervousness in her eyes, Bonnie Saw this and calmed down slightly, smiling back at him before the referee cut in and announced the rules
"This is a battle between Paul and Bonnie, this will be a 4 v 4 battle, substitutions are allowed, mega evolution is allowed, and the last Pokémon Standing will secure the place of the Trainer in the Top 4" The Referee repeated, This made the girl gulp
"Trainers send out your First Pokémon!"
"Magmortar come on out!" Paul Called out
"Greninja Come on out!" Bonnie Called out
"Proudly standing on the blue side is Paul's Magmortar, also known as Paul's number 2! While on the red side stands a new face In Bonnie's team! this is the first time we'll be seeing her Greninja in the tournament! But her Greninja is known to be her strongest Pokémon!" The Emcee roared making the crowd roar along with him
Bonnie was terrified she was shaking madly and she was gripping her shirt, Paul stood there and stared, he quickly yelled to Magmortar "Magmortar attack head on with Hyper Beam!" his yell made the girl flinch and panic, she needed to fight back, or else she'll lose, she growled and yelled back to Greninja and Paul "Greninja use night slash!"
Paul's yell woke up Bonnie from her breakdown, calmly calling Magmortar's next moves while still keeping Bonnie in check, though still nervous, Bonnie fought back with everything she could, her words and her voice leading Greninja on the Battlefield,
It was a battle which exchanged more blows than normal, neither of them letting their guard down "Greninja use Hydro Pump!" Bonnie Called
"Magmortar dodge then us thunder Punch!" Paul called back, Greninja firing off with Hydro pump as Magmortar Dodged and made contact with Thunder punch
As they exchanged blows, the crowd grew louder, cheering on the strong willed trainers fighting for the spot in the Top 4
"One attack after the other, speed vs power, which will prevail?!" The Emcee dictated, everyone in the audience at the edge of their seats as the two Pokémon were ordered to set off their final blows "Magmortar! Use Fireblaast!" "Greninja use water Shuriken!"
The two Pokémon shot their attacks at each other, delivering fatal blows to the other, as their attacks collided the a small explosion on the field made the Dust swirl around them
Finally, a thump was heard, The Dust cleared and there it revealed...
"Greninja is Unable to battle!"
It was there that it all started, Bonnie was defeated quickly, Defeating Paul's Magmortar in the second round with Meowstick, but was shut down quickly with Paul's Electrivire, It was an Impossible battle from the beginning, Paul had something she didn't,
EXPERIENCE
"DEDENNE IS UNABLE TO BATTLE! ELECTRIVIRE WINS!
PAUL WINS THE SECOND ROUND!"
Bonnie ran over to Dedenne and hugged it closely "You did so well.." She Hummed softly as she gently laid it down in the bag it usually stayed in, she smiled at it's sleeping face softly, gently standing back up looking over at her Opponent
Paul Thanked Electrivire and returned it to it's poke ball, looking back at Bonnie, She made his way over to him, face down and covered in a gloomy aura, Paul was nervous at what she'd say, but was surprised when she just laughed and gently punched his arm
"I still have a lot to learn huh? Let's have a rematch one day, Okay?" She Chimed happily, still taken aback Paul just stared at her, snapping out of it when she put out her hand for him to shake,
he gladly took it and shook her hand, feeling her grip tighten as they were called off the field to prepare for the next trainers, Paul looked back as the Girl held back her tears as she returned to the Lockers
Stepping in his side he was met with a huge bear hug from a tiny blonde, he chuckled softly and returned the hug as Gary secretly took a photo "You did great..." Trip whispered softly
"Hm.. not as great as you though" Paul whispered back, being all lovey-dovey, naturally this made the others uncomfortable, but didn't say anything, not wanting to make the blonde cry again, he's already cried twice... when he lost and when Paul left to go to the field, who knew the ice cold douche-bag can be so soft and fluffy?
Ash approached Bonnie and gently put a hand on her head "That was amazing" He complimented with a wide grin "You really think so..?" Bonnie choked out, Ash looked down at her small figure, gently patting her head "You were really strong, probably even stronger than your brother" He hummed
Bonnie giggled softly at this, "Of course..! I work x3 harder than he ever will" She chuckled out, raising her head to face Ash "I'll... go meet up with the others in the bleachers, I'll be back here when it's the Top 2 already" she beamed
Ash nodded and let her run off, he then turned to Brock "She'll cry one she Reaches Serena" Brock mentioned bluntly "You never know, maybe she won't" Ash answered as he took out his Ultradex, receiving a sudden message from one of Brock's siblings, He rea it and chuckled softly
Brock looked at him confused "What's so funny?" he asked, stuffing his hands into his pockets "It's nothing" Ash answered as he turned to look at the field "You're battling Max" Ash began "Good luck" He cheered chuckling softly
"I'm not gonna lose to that boy" He scoffed making Ash laugh at his arrogant response "If you do though I'm not attending your future wedding" Ash muttered "what was that?" "Nothing!"
