Chapter 51

               Max went over to Brock and gently put his fist on top of his chest, He gave that million dollar smile of his and chuckled "you're really strong! I'm real upset, I'm just not showing it, I really wanted to battle Ash in the finals, but what did I expect really?" He laughed out and gently punched his shoulder "Though, I'm not betting my money on you winning" He said and turned to walk away 

                 "What makes you think that I'll fight him in the Top 2? Why not Gary or Paul?" Brock asked, making Max stop in his tracks, Max looked at the Screen and watched his Trainer profile get transitioned out, He sighed and Looked forward again "I won't attend your wedding if you don't It's that simple" he laughed and walked off 

                  Brock tilted his head in confusion "I'm getting married?" he asked amidst the confusion, Max just waved him off and sighed, walking back to the Red side's lockers, Ash pat Brock's back with a chuckle "I am attending your wedding after all" He Laughed, 

                 "I'm not getting married though??????" Brock uttered confusedly, Ash Just laughed and pat his back "Don't think about it" He waved it off and Brock just scoffed "you and Max really are alike you know" He sighed and Ash just chuckled "Is that bad?" Ash asked as he turned tot he field, meeting a pair of eyes in front of him

                  "GAH!! DAD?!" Ash exclaimed and fell back, Red laughed at his son's expression "Sorry, sorry, didn't mean to startle you" he apologized and helped him up, Ash sighed "what are you doing here dad, you aren't supposed to be here" Ash mentioned and pat the invisible dirt off of him "Oh nothing, I just wanted to say Good luck" He said with a smile, 

                    Ash Sighed softly, Looking up at his Dad's smiling face, and he suddenly felt a small pang of pain in his heart "...I wish you were there.." Ash suddenly let out, Red stared at him confused, as Brock decided to stray away from the father and son pair for a second 

                     "what do you mean Ash?" Red asked softly, Ash's eyes widened and shook his head "I-It's uh, nothing Dad" He stuttered out with a smile, but Red frowned, stepping closer to his son and engulfing him in a hug "You... Meant, your other battles right..?" Red asked in a whisper like tone, Ash gripped his hands and started to tremble "Of course... Why would I expect you to forget something so painful this quickly..." He muttered to himself, but from their distance, Ash heard

                       Ash started to sob on his Dad's shoulder as Red rubbed his back "I'm sorry son, I really am, For leaving you and Delia for so long... I could've at least visited once a year to check on you... huh? even with the mission..." He muttered to his son, Ash just kept sobbing "But you know, In every Region I enter, I hear your name at least somewhere, and whenever I do, I always just think... "Man, That's my son and I'm so proud of him"... and not once did I stutter" He gently mumbled to Ash as he held him in his arms 

                        Ash sniffled and hicced as he tried to stop crying "It's okay son... let it out.." Red said as he pulled Ash closer to him to muffle his cries so no one can hear, They stayed like that for another Minute before Ash shuffled to let go, gently wiping the tears as he Showed a wide smile to his Dad

                        "I'm alright now Dad! No need to worry about me anymore!" He chuckled softly, Red stared in awe 'Was this Ash... before everything? I've never seen him smile this wide... and this sincerely...' He thought as he smiled and pat Ash's head "Go get em' Son"  He encouraged before disappearing in Mid air once again

                         Pikachu who was on the Ground looked up at Ash in worry, but that immediately went away when He saw his real smile 'this is the smile... Ash had on every time he would win battle's back when he was 10' Piakchu thought, Jumping onto his partner's shoulder and rubbing his cheek's on his "Let's win this Bud" Ash said as he pat Pikachu, 'You got it' "Pika"
