"So, how's the prank war going?" Summer asked me as I curled her ginger locks. I lightly chuckled at the question. Every time I walk in that house, something is happening, whether it's a prank, a crazy video, or just the boys being boys.

"It's crazy. One time I walked into the house and there was tinfoil all over the kitchen. Another day, I pulled in and Sam was wrapping all the cars in bubble wrap. Jake dumped a bunch of crickets on Colby. Colby broke the doorframe with a duct tape prank. I wonder what I'm going to walk into today." I tell her and she laughs.

"Isn't duct tape supposed to fix things?" I laugh at her question and nod.

"You'd think so, yeah. But Colby would figure out how to break stuff with it." I roll my eyes, thinking about my crazy boyfriend. I finish up Summer's hair and brush my fingers through the curls to break them apart into soft beach waves. Then, I move to make up.

"You ready for your date tonight?" I ask my best friend and watch her face light up as she nods her head. Tonight, she is going on her anniversary date with her boyfriend, Elliot. I am so happy she found a guy that treats her right. We have both been through so many bad relationships that we truly deserve the guys we have.

"I can't believe you guys have been together for two years," I tell her as I concentrate on blending her foundation into her skin with a beauty blender.

"I know. I feel we just met at that party a little while ago, not two years ago." She told me. "You and Colby are still going strong, right?" She asks me with concern deep in her voice and her eyes concentrated on mine.

"Yes, Summer. He isn't like any other guy I have dated. I know he won't do anything to hurt me. I know he won't leave me alone and I know I won't find him cheating on me. I really trust him." I say with a huge dorky grin on my face as I felt butterflies flutter around in my stomach. I love and trust Colby with all my heart, which Summer knows is a really hard thing for me to do.

"So, he is nothing like Danny or Justin or Ryan?" She looked me dead in the eyes just to make sure. I love this girl, but she can be so damn protective sometimes. I wouldn't change it for the world though.

"No, he isn't. He is going to disappear out of thin air after dating for seven months like Danny did. He isn't Justin, who cheats on me with who I thought was a really good friend of mine several times and I finally catch them. He isn't anything like Ryan either. He doesn't try to control everything I do or get mad at me if I do something that I want to do. He's a good guy, Summer." I tell her and she smiles at me.

"Okay but let him know that if he does anything to hurt you, that-" Summer started but I cut her off.

"That you'll hurt him like he's never been hurt before. I know, Summer." I finish her statement. I've memorized by now from hearing it so many times. I chuckled to myself before speaking once more. "He's my Elliot, Summer. He won't hurt me."

She nods and drops the subject. We talk about our amazing boyfriends and other fun things as I finish her makeup. Summer ran over to the closet to grab her royal blue dress and silver sparkly heels and put them on quickly. She looked at herself in the mirror.

"You look beautiful, Summer," I tell her as we look at her reflection. "Don't forget this," I say as I grab her necklace. It's a stunning silver necklace that had a pretty heart outline with a dainty little diamond in the center. Elliot got it for her for their first anniversary. She smiled at me and turned around, lifting her hair, so I could put it on her. I clasped it together and she looked even better if that was possible.
