Chapter 2 (THE REALIZATION)

Shravan couldn't understand anything. He was totally shocked. He never expected Sumo to do something of this kind. Here he cursing her and there she was giving up her life just for his happiness. He knew that off lately the had been some kind of uneasiness between his dad and Sumo and that is why they both at least indirectly blamed each other. But he never knew that even after all this Sumo's heart went out for him to save his father. Here his family was not here but she did what even blood relatives couldn't do. He was confused, shocked, scared and what not. He didn't want to lose his Sumo after this. Though it was true that he hated Sumo with all his heart, but his heart knew that deep down, he loved her like crazy. He was happy that his dad was out of danger but was scared to lose His Sumo. Only he knew how badly he wanted his Sumo to be with him and that is why he married her in the Court so that he could bring her to his Home as soon as possible. He had got his Sumo after so many futile attempts that now he didn't want her to go away. He wanted to cry but tears were not coming. His heart ached to even think about the scenario he had witnessed few months before when Sumo had met with an accident. He was scared out of his wits then also. Now he couldn't bring himself to go and see her again in the hospital bed fighting for her life. No, no, no.... it would be better to say, losing her breaths, because that was her main motto. She wanted to end her life to keep him happy. He just couldn't digest the fact that the Sumo whom he considered selfish, gold digger almost gave up her life for him and here he was badmouthing her. She was the most selfless soul when it comes to her family who doesn't even consider her a part of it, even though she is ever ready to sacrifice her life for them. Shravan was ashamed of himself as it was the second time that she was in the hospital because of him. Last time it was his elephant sized ego that almost took her life and today just to save his father..... Had he picked up her call, he could have given the blood and everything would have been fine. But no, God is always angry with him. And all of that he is taking it out on His Sumo. But he so badly wanted her to get well soon. To come out of the danger. He was a total mess by now and there was no one who could console him. Tight then he felt a tap on his shoulder and he turned back only to see Preeta with teary eyes looking remorsefully towards him.

Preeta- Shravanji I can understand you inner turmoil after listening to all this. You might be thinking that the selfish girl whom you hated so much saved your father's life at the cost of her own just for the sake of your happiness. But you know what Shravanji, you are right. Actually she is selfish because whatever she did was for herself. She loved you a lot and couldn't see you in pain as it pained her much more. And so to save herself from that pain, she decided to give up her life, because she thinks herself as worthless. And to be honest, that is what everyone thinks of her, just because she is a n orphan. Now you just give it a thought. To each and every instance you have witnessed between her and her so called family, including yours also. Everyone made her feel as burden except one person who left her years ago just because of her stupidity according to her. And that one person is none other than her Chashmish, whom she still has preserved in her heart. You know, I had never seen her so happy as she was when both of yours alliance was fixed. She had a different flow on her face and a lot of excitement as if she was going to get the Kohinoor Diamond for herself. But you broke all her dreams through your Court Marriage. She had planned so much and yet you destroyed it all. I just want to say one thing, you saved her from being disgraced on her wedding day. But you had already broken her heart into a million pieces. She is in reality a gem, whom you don't recognize. I just pray to God that it won't be too late, when the realization finally Dawns upon you.

Saying this Preeta went away, wiping her tears. All this had to be said to him. Otherwise she very well knew that her friend cum boss would never stay happy, cut all that, she wouldn't even wake up. Preeta knew that only Shravan can bring her back to life and that would happen only if he knows the truth of Sumo's LOVE for HER Shravan, for HER Chashmish. She knew both of them loved each other madly, yet they never confessed. The way both used to stare at each other longingly and have only love and pain of separation in their eyes, Preeta knew it then that these souls were MADE FOR EACH OTHER IN THE HEAVEN!!! Preeta was sure that Sumo would get up once Shravan makes her understand her worth in his life. Their love was so strong that they could defeat even the DEATH to be with each other. That is why it was rightly said,

Just then Shravan saw the nurse coming out of his father's room. Both Preeta and Shravan rushed to her to ask about his father's condition. To this the nurse replied,
"Right now the patient is stable and in deep sleep due to sedatives. He might wake up after 3-4 hours. Then we will shift him in the general ward so you all can meet him then."
