It was almost time for the gala. I looked at myself in the mirror once again, making sure that everything looked good. Once I was happy with my look, I made my way downstairs, where a royal carriage had been prepared for me. Taking a deep breath, I stepped in. "Cinderella Castle, please," I told the driver. We sped away into the evening. I whipped out another mirror, wanting to make sure every hair was in the right place.

Looking good. I went over my plan again and again until we stopped in front of Cinderella Castle. I made my way out of the carriage, and knocked on the palace doors. Headmistress Cinderella opened the door. "I suppose you asked Rose to the gala," she said. "Yes, Headmistress Cinderella," I replied. "she'll be down in a moment," said Headmistress Cinderella, before yelling for Rose. I self consciously adjusted my bow tie, before turning around to see Rose standing there in the most beautiful ballgown I had ever seen.

"Y-You look amazing, Rose!" I stammered. "Thanks! You look amazing too!" Rose replied cheerily. "Off you go, Rose. I'll see you two at the ball!" Headmistress Cinderella called as we walked away. Just before we got in the carriage, I revealed the corsage I had made for Rose.
