It's hour 2 in the car with Jungkook, we've already blasted our music and eaten the first quarter of our snacks, and the next gas station is at least another hour away, we stopped for burgers earlier but we want to save them for later. I lean myself against the car door to take a nap, but Jungkook shakes me awake.
Jungkook- (teasingly) hey, if I'm not sleeping you're not sleeping
Y/n- but sleep is so good
Jungkook- have a coffee or something
Y/n- we already finished those
Jungkook- dang we can chug coffee really well
His phone starts to ring, before Jungkook picks it up I see the screen says it's Namjoon
Jungkook- what's up?
I can't hear what's going on but Jungkook's face goes pale, he responds a few more times before putting the phone down
Y/n- what's going on
Jungkook- we have a tail, we thinks it's Mr. Choi so you and I can't go home
Y/n- then where are we going?
Jungkook- ever been in a car chase?
Y/n- no wait, answer my question
I frantically look behind us and see Namjoon's car in a failing attempt to try and subtly get the tail off of us
Jungkook- looks like this will be your first one
He starts to speed up
My heart is pounding, we slowly pass Jimin Taehyung and Eric who were in front of us. Namjoon hasn't been able to shake off the tail and it seems it's speeding up
Jungkook- oh, it's definitely your dad, and I think he's mad
Y/n- yeah, you think?!
We swerve off of the highway and into a street
Y/n- Jungkook what are you doing?!
The only response I get is the ringing of his phone, I pick it up and put it on speaker
Namjoon- Jungkook, make sure you lose them before you get to the other safe house
Jungkook- I'm trying!
Namjoon- we'll try to see you guys soon, but it might take a while
Jungkook- is that all? I'm kind of trying to focus here!
The phone hangs up and my attention turns back to the empty street we're speeding down. Jungkook swerves this way and that but they won't come off of us. Slowly the car starts to gain on us and approaches onto my side, I see a hand inside raise
Y/n- umm Jungkook!
Jungkook- inside the door there's a spare gun, I need you to shoot
I find the gun and raise it but I can't shoot, my mind won't let me
Jungkook- what are you waiting for?
A gunshot rings out, barely missing us
Jungkook- if you can't shoot the person just shoot the freaking tires
I try to get myself at a better angle to shoot at, but another shot puts me back in my seat
Jungkook- oh for love of. Take this
He puts my hands onto the wheel and maneuvers himself so I'm somehow now in the driver's seat and he has the gun. He pulls down the window
Y/n- Jungkook, what are you doing?!
Jungkook- just don't crash us and keep driving straight!
He slowly climbs out so that he's sitting into the window, another gunshot rings out
Jungkook- ah nasty little boys aren't you?
I hear four more shots go off and the other car swerves off the road into the forests next to us. Jungkook climbs back in
Y/n- nice shot
Jungkook- nice driving
Y/n- speaking of which, where the heck am I going?
Jungkook- it's set in the car, it'll give you directions
I follow the directions of the car until we pull into the driveway of a very small house. As the car slows to a stop, I turn to Jungkook
And that's when I realize it
