waking me up from my deep sleep was a loud laugh coming from upstairs, i open my eyes and slightly gasp as i realize i'm not in my room.
mattia's here.
i get up from the bed and go straight to my bathroom to brush my teeth. i am not talking to anyone with my morning breath.
once i finish, i wash my face and pat it dry before going downstairs. as i'm going downstairs i see mattia and my dad laughing like complete nut jobs. i look at my dads lap and notice a familiar book on his lap.
it's not a book it's a photo album filled with baby pictures of me.
"good morning sunshine." my dad says and he quickly closes the album of pictures.
"were you showing him my baby pictures?" i ask him.
my dad scoffs, "no." he says before looking at mattia and back at me. "okay yes i was."
"dad that's so embarrassing!" i tell him before grabbing the photo album and placing it back where it belongs.
"you looked so cute." mattia says and i sarcastically smiled at him.
"yeah i don't know what happened." my dad says and they both laugh. i lightly hit my dads shoulder before laughing along with them.
interrupting our laughter was a phone call coming from my dads phone. "i'll be back." he says before answering the call and going upstairs.
"good morning gorgeous." mattia says and he plants a small kiss on my forehead.
"how do you feel?" i ask him.
"i woke up with a headache but nothing i can't handle." he tells me. "so, on wednesday we have a half day and the boys along with leilani were planning on going to the beach."
"i'm down." i tell him with a smile.
his face lights up, "really?" he asks and i nod. he's so cute when he's excited.
"okay so i'm gonna head out but i'll text you once i'm home." he says before gathering his things and walking to the door.
i can't help but think of everything that he said yesterday. should i bring it up? no, he was drunk and i'm sure he doesn't remember.
"are you okay?" he asks me as he gently grabs my face with both of his hands.
i nod, "just thinking." i smiled and i could tell he didn't buy it.
"about?" he asks.
"food. i'm very hungry." i semi lie to him and he chuckles. "drive safe."
"always." he smiles before kissing my lips softly and walking out the door to get into his car. once he turns on his car, he beeps twice before waving and driving away.
