Misha's POV:

"As much as I am against the idea but your family doesn't know about us yet so you should be a little more careful, love." Ibraheem smiled as I returned his stare with a frown. It was weird for him to say this. He was way more volatile than me. We were back in my university's parking lot. Today was so perfect, I wish I could repeat it again.

"How surprising that you know how to be careful. I thought that word didn't exist in your dictionary." I remarked and he just grinned.

"I lose my mind a little when I am around you. My brain shuts down when you smile at me, little fox."

"That makes the two of us." I returned his smile.

"I don't mind you parading around with you in in your university. I mean, everyone will know you are taken but I am worried about your family. Especially your brothers." Ibraheem wiggled his eyebrows at me while I gaped at his shamelessness. I wasn't going to tell him that I secretly wanted to do that too but I couldn't.  It was only going to boost his ego even more.

"If you want, today we can-"Ibraheem was cut off when his phone started to vibrate. He took it out and saw Kamran's caller ID blinking. Ibraheem looked up at me apologetically but I just nodded at him calmly. "Wait babe, let me take this. Hey bro, what is it?" I could hear Kamran's voice till here.

I felt my heart beat speed up a bit. Zoya had been gone for a while now. I think it had been a solid five days. I wasn't in contact with her but I knew she would message me eventually in some way. Somehow, Kamran's call scared me a little but it was probably nothing.

"Oh? I am in Misha's university. Why? Yeah, she is with me. Huh? Sure." With that, Ibraheem looked at me with knitted eyebrows. He was still looking at his phone in a funny way but then he looked up at me and smiled.

"What's wrong? Everything alright?" There was concern in my voice but more than that, there was this feeling of impending doom coming my way. I could feel it.

"Yeah, Kamran said he had wanted to ask you about something so here babe, talk to him. I don't know what his deal is but he sounded off. I am going to put the phone on speaker alright?" Ibraheem brought the phone closer to me while I kept a poker face on but it wasn't working. Ibraheem could read my face like an open book and right now, I was sure he could tell something was off. I breathed out slowly as I brought my mouth close to the microphone.

"Hello?" I barely whispered into the phone while glancing at Ibraheem. I was glad I wasn't the one holding the phone because Ibraheem would have noticed how my hands were trembling. I need to do this as smoothly as I can.

"Where the hell is she?" Kamran's booming voice scared me. Ibraheem was wrong. He didn't sound off, he sounded pissed as hell and I think I know why.

"Who?" I feigned innocence.

"You know exactly who, Misha. Where is Zoya? Her number is off and she hasn't gone to her university. I checked. There is nobody at her home either. All her accounts have deactivated too." Ibraheem turned to look at me while I decided to avert my eyes from him. Lying was harder than I expected but I needed to protect Zoya right now. I tried my best to calm my nerves and my trembling fingers. My heart felt like it just wanted to jump out of my chest at this moment.

With a relaxed sigh I replied, "I don't know what you are talking about Kamran." I think I succeeded in saying that as smoothly as I could without arousing suspicion.

"DON'T LIE TO ME. WHERE THE HELL IS SHE?" I flinched at his tone which angered Ibraheem. He decided to answer before I could.

"Oye, araam se baat karo. Meri biwi se baat kar rahay ho tum. (Hey, calm yourself down and speak politely. You are speaking to my wife right now.)" Ibraheem replied to Kamran with a voice just as powerful but calmer. "Tell me what happened."

"Zoya has disappeared and Rubab won't tell me anything and now neither is Misha saying anything. They are lying, they know where she is. I need to find her bhai, I want to talk to her. I have to." I could hear how devastated he was. It was odd to see him like this but I had to put my friend before him. Her well-being and life mattered more to me. It didn't take long for Kamran to recover his composure though. "Ask bhabhi where she is. She will tell you."

"Alright, I will ask her. Calm yourself down Kamran. Go drink a glass of water or wash your face with cold water." With that Ibraheem hung up and looked at me with an intense stare. "Where is she, babe? Your hands have been trembling for a while now. Don't think I haven't noticed. You are hiding something. Tell me."

"I swear, I don't know where she is Ibraheem. Trust me, I don't." I replied sincerely. "And even if I did, I couldn't tell you, jaan, because this matter concerns her. She has trusted me with her life, I cannot betray her like this. She is like a sister to me and I know Kamran is your cousin but you need to understand, I cannot break her trust like this. We have a bond." By the time, I was done, my voice was cracking because Zoya's images were flashing in my head along with the pain of hiding the truth from the man I loved.

"Alright, my love. Just calm down. Stop trembling. I will trust you on your word. I am not going to push you for details because you clearly look like you are not in the situation to give them. No pressure. I would do the same thing for my friends too but you need to know something." Ibraheem paused as he looked deep in thought. His eyes were whirling with different emotions. "I can tell Kamran what you just told me, I can even try to convince him that you really don't know but from what I have seen in the past few days, if she is really the Anushay that he has been looking for then Kamran will find her even if he has to go the depths of hell for it. He will use every single mean possible, he will exhaust all options. He is the most stubborn one among us and he is not going to stop. We can't stop him either. Even his own parents cannot stop him. That guy has been looking for her since he was eleven years old. So you should let your friend know this as well that," Ibraheem halted again.

"That?" I questioned as I gulped.

"He won't rest until he finds her."
