What happened yesterday was still fresh at hindi pa rin nawala sa isip ko kahit ngayon ay naghihintay lang ako na tatawagin ng professor ko na pumasok sa room para ipakilala sa lahat. Finally, after a couple of minutes, the door opened at pumasok ako. The students were staring at me as if they were studying me. I looked around and I saw my team. Evie was waving at me with a cheerful smile like she was my proud mother. Leo was napping on his desk and Cairo didn't look like he was interested because he was just watching the window since katabi niya iyon. Sheena was looking at me furiously while Uzma gave me a kind smile.

"Please introduce yourself to the class," our professor said. I don't think that'll be necessary because based on what I'm hearing from their whispers, kalat na kalat na yata ang pangalan ko.

"I'm Vermillion, a new member of Daredevil and I'm from Liwet," I introduced.

"Is there anything else you want to add? Like hobbies?" our professor asked.

"Planting," singit ni Sheena at nagtawanan ang mga kaklase ko.

"Silence! Sheena, that is not a good thing to say!" sabi ng professor namin and she just rolled her eyes. Our professor took a deep breath at tinuro ang upoan na nasa gilid ni Uzma which is harap ni Cairo. "Please sit there," singit niya.

I walked papunta sa empty seat at umupo. Napatingin ako kay Uzma ang he was already staring at me. He gave me a smile, so I smiled back. He then transferred his gaze to Cairo and back at me again.

"How's their team? Are they treating you right?" he asked with a kind and soothing voice. I immediately nodded with a smile.

"Get your books," we heard kaya kinuha na namin ang libro namin. Our subject for today is Math and I personally like this subject. "At dahil hindi ako masaya sa ginawa ng kaklase niyo, read the formulas given on page 167 to 189, and we'll have a test after an hour," our professor added at rinig na rinig ko ang mga reklamo ng mga kaklase ko pero hindi siya nanumbalik at umupo lang siya upoan niya.

I scanned through the Math book, and I was lucky enough that I could easily understand these formulas maybe because I have been reading this kind of book since I was a kid since my foster father loved math and the books that he only has was Math. He didn't have any books about magic because he finds it nonsense since his magic is low ranked, so he decided to read math formulas which helped him in building houses and equipment.

I looked around and saw students na natulog lang habang ang iba ay napakamot sa ulo. Tumingin ako sa likoran kung saan nakaupo sina Cairo. Leo is asleep. Evie is talking to her seatmate. Cairo is just staring blankly outside. I bet these guys are smart.

"Do you find it hard? I can teach you if you want," Uzma offered with a kind smile. I smiled back at umiling ako. I don't really need it, maybe he needs it.

"No, it's fine," sagot ko at sinara ang libro. The given formulas were easy, and I learned it when I was in middle school so there will be no problem. Maybe I should follow Leo, at matulog na rin lang.

"Oh, are you good at Math?" he asked.

"It'll be arrogant to say yes so I guess you'll find your question after the exam," I answered and smiled.

"Interesting," he said at sinara niya rin ang libro niya. "How about we'll see who'll get the highest among us?" he challenged and I smirked. That's a wrong move.

"Sure," I replied instantly. "Do we have consequences to the loser?" I asked and he smirked confidently.

"If I win, why don't you request a transfer of team at pumunta ka sa team ko?" he suggested, still wearing that confident smirk.
