part 6

Haileys POV

Its 6pm, Jay and I have just finished bathing Dhalia. It was interesting but we got it done. Jay went into the living room to get frozen ready whilst I got Dhalia into her Pjs. " You guys ready? " Jay shouts through from the living room. " two sec! " I shout back. " comfy? " I ask Dhalia standing up. " Yep! " she replies whilst running to get to Jay.

Jay's POV

I was placing the movie treats on the coffee table when Dhalia comes running though in her Olaf onesie. " Jay Jay! " she says running and jumping up and down. " Awesome onesie Dhalia! " I say picking her up. " where's Hailey? " I ask. " Getting into her Pyjamas. " Dahlia says squirming around. " Let's sit down and wait for her. " I say sitting down placing Dhalia next to me. " Alright who's ready to watch frozen?! " hailey sings coming to sit down. " Meeeee! " I sing back making hailey and Dhalia laugh.

Before to long Dhalia, Hailey and I are dancing round the living room singing ' into the unknown ' laughing and having so much fun; Its happiest I've ever felt! Once the songs finished and we sit back down on the sofa hailey and I hear a very quite snore. We look down to see Dhalia passed out between us. " I'll carry her if you open the door. " Hailey says giggling. Hailey picks her up and we go into Dhalias room. " Night darling. " I say even though shes asleep. Hailey and I stand at the door way looking at the tiny girl sleeping. " your great Jay. Thankyou! " hailey whispers leaning into me. " Anytime, I really enjoyed this evening! " i reply wrapping my arm round her side. " I better get going it's late. " I say separating myself from Hailey and closing Dhalias door.

Haileys POV

Jay is collecting his stuff and going home. I really don't want to be alone tonight, I really want Jay to stay. " Stay the night! " I blurt out as Jay opens the door. " ye? " Jay says smiling. " Ye, you've been great and to be honest I dont feel like being alone. " I say going bright red. " Okay. " I say taking my shoes off. " one thing, I have no Pyjamas! " I say putting my jacket back on the hook. " You left some the other month when you stayed after that rough case. " hailey says running to get them. I follow her to get them off her. " There you! " hailey says handing them over. " Thanks Hails. I'm going in the bathroom to change. " I say walking into the bathroom. " okay I'll be in the kitchen. " Hailey says as I close the door.

Haileys POV

5 minutes later Jay walks out the bathroom into the kitchen. " Here. " Hailey says handing me a beer " Thanks " I smile taking it off her. " Why did you? " hailey asks, I look at her in confusion " why did I what? " Jay asks taking a drink of beer. " Stay, help. You had no reason to stay, especially after I told you she was mine. " I answer
fiddling with her fingers. " because I care about you hails, plus your my partner. " Jay says putting his beer and pulling me into a hug. " I'm going to go to bed, you coming? " I ask Jay whose still got his arms wrapped around me. " Do you not want me to sleep on the sofa? " Jay asks not wanting to push the boundaries. " Its fine, the sofas still as uncomfortable as last time. " I laugh remembering the incident the other month. " On that thought I'll be through in a sec. " Jay chuckles thinking back to the other month.

I get into bed and start scrolling through Instagram when Jay comes through and gets into the other side of my bed. " You look very serious Detective Upton. " Jay laughs. I give a sarcastic smile and punch his arm. " Okay, okay I'm sorry! " Jay laughs holding his hands up in surrender. " Is it okay if I switch the light off? " I ask still chuckling. " Yep. " he replies whilst lying down into bed properly. " Night Jay. " I say switching the light off. " Night Hails. " he replies. Before to long were both out like a light.

Jay's POV

Its 3 am when a gut wrenching screem comes from down the hall way. " What the hell? " hailey asks, jumping out of bed and running down the hall way towards Dhalia's room in full mum mode. I get up and follower her.

" Dhalia what's wrong sweetheart? " Hailey asks a screaming Dhalia. " The...the..mon..monster! " Dhalia cries. " Theres no monster in here I promise! " I say sitting down next go Haileys who's hugging Dhalia. " Yess there is. Under my bed. " she says clining onto hailey. " You want Jay to have a look? " hailey asks rubbing Dhalias back. " Yess " dahlia stiffls. I get up off the bed and check under the bed for monsters. " Your all safe, nothing there. " I say standing back up. " You going to go back to sleep now? " Hailey asks Dhalia. " Ok.." Dhalia replies crawling back under the duvet. Hailey and I kiss Dhalia good night before going back to bed.
