part 19

Haileys POV

We get to the robbery scene and the whole shop is turned upside down. Theres food everywhere, baskets ontop of shelves, you name it and it's there.

" CLEAR! " Voight and Al yell from the back of the shop. " Alright, Jay, hailey you search the back, Antonio, ruzak you search the shelves, Kim and Atwater you search whatever. " Voight orders. " Jay, look at this. " I say pointing to a damaged watch. " They dont sell watches here. " Jay says confused " Exactly, look at the writing on the back carefully. " I say hoping Jay figures the writing out before I have to spell it out to him. " Wait! " Jay looks up alarmed. " isnt that your dads initials? " He asks wide eyed. " mmhmm " I reply to a shocked Jay. " Why would your dad do something like this? " Jay asks " I dont know. I knew he had a loose screw or two but...this. " I answer, shaking my head in disbelief.

" What you got? " Voight asks noticing we have been staring over the same area for a while. " Ummm. " I look at Jay before I carry on hoping he comes up with a lie but he doesn't. " The watch, it's my dads. " I say looking at the ground. " Your dad? Are you sure? " Voight questions. " Ye. The writing on the back, it's his initials; my mum got him it for his birthday ten years ago. " I explain staring at the watch. By now the whole team have gathered round to see what's going on. " Who does your dad run with? " Atwater asks. " I have no idea- he didnt tell us his friends and we never asked. " I reply trying to remember anything that could stand out. " Let's finish this back at the station. Hailey, pick the watch up. " Voight says walking towards the door.

Jay's POV

We get back to the district and I pull hailey aside. " Hailey, you know we dont have a choice but to pull him in? " I say putting my arm on her shoulder. " Ye I know. I just dont know why he would do that, especially since that happened to him when I was kid. " Hailey says putting her hand on my hand. " JAY, HAILEY GET UP HERE! " Atwater yells from the bullpen. We walk upstairs almost holding hands.

" What's up? " I ask Atwater. " Voight wants you to go and get Haileys dad. He thinks hailey being the one to bring him in might be less hassle. " Atwater says slurping his coffee. " No, no I cant go and get my dad. Hes less lickely to cooperate if he sees Jay and I. " Hailey explains looking at me panicked. " Why not? Is there something you both need to tell me? " Voight asks coming out from his office. " When Jay, Dhalia and I went shopping the other day my dad was there. He started being an moron so Jay told me to go and pay with Dhalia and he would meet us at the car. " Hailey explains and looks at me to carry on. " Once Hailey and Dhalia were out of sight I told him to get lost in no uncertain terms, he didnt like it so he back mouthed me and I took a swing at him. I left him lying on the floor. " I explain giving an apologetic look to Hailey " Really Jay? When you said we wouldn't have to bother about him again I didnt think you actually punched him! " Hailey says pissed off. " Sorry. " I reply not sure what else to say. " Oh for God sakes. Antonio and Kim you go. Jay, Hailey my office! " Voight orders also pissed off.
