General POV

Dhalia sprints past Hailey, Jane and Zack heading straight for the door. " Hey Aunt Kim and Uncle Adam! " Dhalia greets as she opens the door for them to come in " Hey Lia, happy birthday! " Kim and Ruzak both smile. " Wheres your parents? " Adam asks not being able to see into the living area past a pillar in the kitchen. " Daddys in my bedroom and Mommys with people in the living room. " Dhalia explains dragging Kim and Ruzak by the arms.

" Hey guys, wheres Sierra? " Jay asks Adam and Kim coming into the living room. " With Antonio, Ava had to baby sit for her childcare course. " Kim explains putting Dhalias present of the table. " Ah " Jay replies giving Adam a bro hug. " Umm, Kim, Adam, this is my mum and eldest brother. Zack and Jane. " Hailey introduces her family to Adam and Kim who also get glares off her mother. " Hi, nice to meet " Kim smiles being her usual bubbly self " Hi kim, hi Adam " Zack smiles standing up to shake there hands.

Jay's POV

Before to long the whole teams here laughing at the show Dhalia and Sierra have put on. " The End! " Sierra and Dhalia bow and everyone starts clapping and cheering. " I think nows the perfect time to open presents " I shout over all the noise. After opening her last present from Voight, Hailey hands Dhalia an envelope " What does adoption mean mommy? " Dahlia asks reading the title on the top of the letter. " It means Jay will be you Daddy by law " She explains to Dhalia. " Really?! " She asks grinning from ear to ear " Ye, mommy and I thought since were getting married me adopting you would be the icing ontop of the cake " I smile as Dhalia jumps up and throws herself into my arms " I love you Daddy! " " I love you too kidda " I smile- completely overjoyed. Everyone is either crying or clapping at the happy event taking place infront of them. " What do you mean engagement? "Antonio asks suddenly realising he hadn't been told the news. " Ugh ye. Just before Hailey and I found Erin I proposed to Hailey. We didnt think saying anything was appropriate after the week we've had. " I explain " Your kidding right? We all needed some happy news and I doesnt get much better than this! " Voight says giving Hailey a hug. " Congratulations " Atwater and Adam cheer. " Thanks guys. "

I suddenly notice Hailey go all quite and shy, which isnt like her at all. Her mum stood up and walked over to the door and headed off home. Hailey wanted nothing more than for her mothers support especially when it came to marriage. " Its okay Hails. " I whisper kissing her temple " Daddy cake, please " dhalia giggles being bounced up and down by Adam. " Of course " I say standing up to get the cake.

General POV

Once they have all sang happy birthday to Dhalia they start asking questions about when the wedding is and how. " Did Hailey like the ring as much as you did Jay? " Kim asks taking a mouthful of cake " Wait you knew? " Adam asks before the whole team turn and give kim questioning looks " Ye, were did you think Jay and I were going the other day? " Kim smiles at how clueless Adam can be for an elite detective " I seen the text from Jay about a jewelry store but didnt think much of it " Adam replies defensively " Theres still hope " Antonio laughs causing everyone to burst out laughing. " Dont worry Uncle Adam, I got your back. " Dhalia says patting Adam's shoulder " Thankyou Dhalia. The only nice person here is a five year old " Adam says pointing to Dhalia " Hey, what about me Daddy! " Sierra asks upset Adam left his own daughter out " You too Si, dont worry " Adam laughs at how needy his daughter is.

Haileys POV

It gets to four o'clock and everyone has left leaving Zack the only one still here. " Hails, I'm sorry about mum. I'm really happy for the three of you " Zack says giving me a hug " Thanks " I say pulling out the hug " Could I see Dhalia more often? Shes adorable and I really miss you Hailey " Zack asks looking across at Dhalia and Jay putting the the dishes in the washer " I'd love that Zack and dont worry about Dhalia, it's been a big week for her. " I reasure Zack that his niece doesnt hate " I'll be off anyway. I'm glad your happy, you deserve it. " Zack says giving me one last hug before heading off " Thanks " I smile.
