General POV

Its the morning after Erin's funeral and Jay's sitting on the edge of the bed starting at a picture of him and Erin. He still loved her, after all he was going to ask her to marry him the day she left. " Daddy, I'm sorry you lost your friend. " Dahlia says, hesitantly walking over to Jay. " Come her, I need a hug of my favourite girl. " Jay says holding his arms out for Dhalia to climb into. " You know she isnt gone right? " Jay looks to Dhalia, waiting for her to carry on. " Shes an angel daddy, look at her. " Dhalia says pointing to Erin on the photo. Jay looks at the photo again, then back at Dhalia, who all of a sudden made him have some hope that she wasnt gone forever and still flying round Chicago like a loon. " Your amazing you know that. " Jay says pulling Dhalia in for a tighter hug.

Dhalia and Jay are still hugging on the bed when Hailey runs past into the bathroom and starts being sick. " Stay here. " Jay says getting up to go to Hailey. He walks into the bathroom and starts holding Haileys hair back out her face, rubing her back at the same time. " Its okay Hails. " Jay says soothingly. " Sorry. " Hailey says cleaning her mouth once shes done. " Dont be sorry. You feeling okay? " Jay asks hoping to God she isnt using again. " Ye, just stood up to quickly. " Hailey says knowing it wasnt that but didnt want to bother Jay. " Hails, you dont need to tiptoe round me. " Jay says wanting her to tell him the truth. " Fine, I've been feeling queasy the last two mornings. " Hailey says causing Jay to give her a suggestion look. " Jay, you know I cant have kids. " Hailey says walking to the bed. " Miricals do happen though mommy! " Dhalia says after hearing the conversation. " Sometimes. " Hailey says brushing Dhalias hair.

Haileys POV

" Dhalia, lunch is ready! " I shout into the living area from the kitchen. " Thankyou mommy. " Dhalia says sitting on the breakfast stools. " You not having anything Hails? " Jay asks, joing Dhalia at the breakfast bar. " No, not hungry and still feeling squeezy. " I say handing soup to both Jay and Dhalia. " Please, just take a test. " Jay says taking a mouthful of soup. " Fine, I'll be back soon. " I say rolling my eyes and heading for the door.

Jay's POV

" Daddy, what test? " Dahlia asks. " Its a test to see if mommy's pregnant. " I explain to Dhalia in a way a four year old can understand. " So, I'm getting a little brother or sister for my birthday? " Dhalia asks turning to look at me. " Probably not Dhalia. Remember when mommy got badly hurt a while back? Well the man hurt mommy's belly really bad so now theres a teeny tiny chance of mommy being able to have a baby. Shes just getting a test to make sure. " I explain to Dhaila in as little detail as possible. " Even if she is, it takes longer than one day to have a baby. " I smile suddenly remembering its Dhalias birthday tomorrow and we haven't got her anything. " I'll be back in a second. " I say getting up to call Hailey.

Haileys POV

I'm about to get back into my car when my phone rings. " Hey babe. " I answer " Hey remember what day it is tomorrow? " Jay asks like I should know. It takes me a minute or two to think before I realise it's my own daughters fith birthday and I've completely forgot about it. " Oh shit. I'll get a couple of presents for her now, be back in a bit. " I say hanging up the phone and dashing into the shop next to the pharmacy.

I'm looking through the girls clothing section when a soft voice shouts my name. " Mom, zack? " I question as I turn round to see my mum and eldest brother standing at the end of the isle. " Hi, what you doing in the kids section? " Zack asks walking over to me. " Um, it's Dhalias birthday tomorrow, getting her some last minute presents. " I smile. I haven't seen any of my family in eight years and the first time I see them I have to break it to them I'm engaged and have an almost five year old daughter. " Who's Dhalia? " my mum asks " My daughter, shes five tomorrow. " I reply getting more and more uncomfortable. My mum and zacks faces drop in shock that I have a daughter and I never told them. " You.. have a daughter? " Zack asks confused and shocked. I nodd and rub my head uncomfortably in reply. " Why didnt you tell us? " my mum asks disappointed. " Long story, not now mom. " I say hoping she will leave it there and not ask anymore. " Where is she? " my mum asks looking up and down the isle for any sign of a five year old. " At home with my fiancee. " I reply scrunching my face up waiting for another shocked reaction, suddenly remembering the team doesn't even know yet about Jay and I. " Come to mine tomorrow for her birthday, we will talk more. I really have to get back. " I say putting two butterfly dresses into the trolley that already has other stuff for Dhalia in. " Okay, here's my number. " Zack says handing me his business card. " thanks. " I nodd walking off to Pay.
