Haileys POV

Its 3am and I wake up to someone groaning my name. " Hailey.." halstead groans " Jay? " I say jumping out my seat. " hey. " Jay weakly smiles. " You scared the crap out of us all! " I say crying. " Well nothing drastic has happened to one of the team in a while so! " Jay replies smirking " Its not funny Jay, I'll shoot you myself! " I say croaky voiced.

Jay's POV

I've been a wake 2 minutes and already managed to piss hailey off by making a joke of the situation. " okay, I'm sorry! " I reply putting my hand ontop of haileys. " Hailey I.." before I can finish a nurse walks in. " Your awake! How you feeling? " she asks nicely. " Like I've been shot. " I smile. she laughs whilst checking my bullet hole. " your looking good. Get some rest. " the nurse smiles walking out. " oh one more thing. Can I get you anything Mrs Halstead? " she asks popping her head back in. " I'm good thankyou. " Hailey blushes.

I start chuckling once she leaves the room " what? " hailey asks still bright red. " She called you Mrs Halstead! " I reply. " Dont! " Hailey grins shaking her head. " when you see Ruzak and Atwater next tell them thanks. " I say changing the subject. " I will, but it's not them you should be thanking. " Hailey replies. " What do you mean? " I ask confused. " The group of kids you were with, they used there t-shirts to stop the bleeding. They also helped carry you out. " Hailey explains yawning. " Those kids? Wow! " I say shocked not thinking in a million years a group of kids would sacrifice there tops for a cop. " Ye, they were more worried about you than getting to there parents apparently. " hailey says. " Go home hails it's late and you haven't stopped yawning. " I say drifting back off myself. " no. " hailey says adamantly as she falls asleep. " I love you too. " I whisper, finishing off what I was going to say before the nurse came in, after hearing Hailey admit she loved me whislt I was sleeping.

Haileys POV

Its 7am when Jay hits me on the head with hand; pulling it up to rub his eyes.
" ooww " I mutter waking up. " Sorry Hails! " Jay apologises after realising. " Its fine. " I reply sitting up after my head been on Jay's bed the rest of the night. " How you feeling? " I ask Jay " I'm good. You gotta get me out of here Hailey, you know I hate hospitals! " Jay beggs " I do, but it's not an option. " I reply smiling at his child like comment.

Jay's POV

" Morning Halstead! " Maggie says chirpyly walking into the room " Hey Maggie. I thought you were an ED nurse? " halstead says flirting " Ye, well, it's you. " Maggie flirts back. " Your SATS look good. For breakfast you have a choice of yoghurt or yoghurt. " Maggie laughs " Come on Mags it's me. " I begg giving the puppy dog eyes. " Nope can do! I'm getting you yoghurt. " maggie smiles walking out the door. " Ugggg I hate yoghurt! " I mean throwing my head back. " Stop moaning you sound worse than Dhalia when you give her fruit! " Hailey laughs rolling her eyes. " Where is Dhalia? " I ask suddenly remembering " Kim and Adam took her home last night. " Hailey replies just as maggie walks back in with a bowl of yoghurt. " Thanks Maggie. " I smile sarcastically " Your welcome. " she says walking back out.

Haileys POV

After Maggie walks out get up to ring kim. " I'll be back soon, I'm going to ring Kim. " I tell Jay walking out the door.

" Hey hailey. " Adam says answering the phone for kim. " Hi kim, why do you sound like Adam? " I ask laughing. " I dont know give me a sec. " Ruzak says before handing the phone over to kim. " Hey sorry about that. " kim says after ruzak handing the phone over. " Hey Kim, it's fine. " I reply still laughing. " Hows Jay? " kim asks going all serious " Hes fine, flirting with every nurse that comes in. " I chuckle. " Sounds like Jay! " kim laughs. " Ye. Hows Dhalia? " I ask " Shes great actually. Her and Sierra are Watching my little pony at the moment. " kim replies in a surprised tone. " Good. Thanks again for looking after her. " I say gratefully " Anytime Hailey, I owe you anyway for looking after Sierra many times. " kim replies. " Ye I guess. " I say leaning against the wall. " Where do you want Dhalia today? " kim asks. " Umm can you take her to the station please? " I ask knowing shes comfortable around the team. " Sure no problem! " kim replies. " Thanks tell her I say hi. " I reply " Will do bye. " kim says haning up the phone.

Jay's POV

" Okay thanks " I say to the nurse who is walking out just as hailey comes back in. " Everything good? " Hailey asks with a raised eyebrow. " ye I can go home today. Have to take it easy though and wear a sling till my shoulder gets the all clear. " I explain more interested to see if Dhalia is okay. " Good! " Hailey smiles. " Hows Dhalia? " I ask " Ye shes great, she was watching my little pony with Sierra when I rang. Kim and Adam are taking her to the station. " Hailey replies going to sit down. " You should go see her. " I say " shes happy with kim and Adam for now. " hailey replies. " It wasnt an option I'll be fine on my own for couple of hours. You've done enough already Hails. " I reply smiling. " Alright, I'm going! " hailey says holding her arms up.
