part 42

Jay's POV

Trying to get out the apartment without telling Hailey why I was going was so difficult. Shes one of the nosiest people ever and an elite detective, who clearly knew I was lying. I get to Kim's door a nervously knocked. " Hi Jay, I'll get kim. Come on in. " Ruzak says opening the door. Five minutes later Kim comes into the living room were Adam and I are talking about sports. " Ready? " Kim asks " Yep " I say standing up. " Jay, it's not as bad as you think its going to be. " Adam says laughing at my nerves. " Says you. Engaged three times and twice to Kim before you actually got married. " I laughed at Adam's attempt to calm me down. " Come on Jay before Adam starts to trying to through out excuses. " Kim laughed grabbing her coat. " Bye Ruz! " I shout closing the door.

General POV

Jay and Kim walk into the jewellery store and over to the ring department. " Jay, what about this one? " Kim asks looking at a gorgeous silver stone. " That's gorgeous! " Jay says smiling. " Ye it is. Look a little more before deciding though. " kim says. Jay asked her to help him picking a ring out for Hailey since they were best friends and Kim's picked out plenty engagement rings before. " Kim, I can't find anything that's better than that one you seen. " Jay says after looking at other rings for twenty minutes. " Well then, that's the one. " kim says smiling, completely in love with the beautiful ring. " Ye, it is. I cant believe I'm actually going to ask Hailey to marry me. Do you think it's to soon? I mean we've only been going out a few months! " Jay rambles starting to panic. " Jay, chill, Hailey is completely smitten with you. She has been since day one, it killed the whole unit having to watch you and Hailey hide your- very obvious- feelings for each other. " Kim laughs, not used to seeing Jay panicking.

Jays POV

I get back to the apartment and try to shake my nerves off before Hailey sees and gives me the third degree. I open the door and see my little pony toys EVERYWERE. Ontop of microwaves, half under the rug, the TV stand and the rest. " Dhalia, why does the living area look like a my little pony bomb has just exploded? " I ask tiptoeing between the toys. " Sorry daddy. Mommy and I were playing. " Dhalia apologises thinking I'm telling her off. " Its okay, I was just wondering. " I say giving her a hug. " Where mommy? " I ask Dhalia. Theres no sight of Hailey anywhere. " Bathroom. " Dahlia points to the direction of the bathroom before gathering her toys.

" Hailey, I'm back. " I say as I hid the ring in my underwear draw. " Hey. " She says opening the door and walking out. " So, what amazing dress have you picked out? " I ask grabbing her by the waist. " that one right there. " Hailey says nodding her towards a gorgeous black- beaded dress. " That's beautiful Hails, not as pretty as you though. " I say between pecking her lips. " Mmhmm, thankyou. " Hailey smiles teasing, her lips on mine. " What you say we make Dhalia her favourite for lunch? " I say wanting to make it up Dhalia for dumping her with Voight. " Okay..but why? " Hailey asks " I feel bad for dumping her with Voight. " I reply feeling guilty. " Jay, shes fine. You seen her reaction before, she was way to happy to be dumped for the night. " Hailey chuckles.

Haileys POV

" Dhalia, you fancy blueberry and banana muffins for lunch? " I ask. I wouldn't normally agree to it but Jay feels so guilty for leaving Dhalia- which is really cute to be fair. " Hell yes! " Dhalia says fist bumping the air. " I'm sorry, where did you get that language from? " I ask Dhalia completely baffled but amused " Uncle Adam. " Dhalia says walking over to sit at the breakfast bar. " did you now, me and uncle Adam will be having words. " I say putting the readymade muffin mix into the oven. " What's up? " Jay asks walking into the kitchen area. " Mommy and Uncle Adam are going to be having words about what he says around Dhalia. " I laugh making drinks. " Why? " Jay asks confused " What was it you said Dhalia? " I ask letting her say it just for Jay's amusement knowing she will do exactly the same thing as before. " Hell yes! " Dhalia says fist bumping the air. Jay spits his juice out laughing at Dhalia, who's now giggling becuase of the juice Jay has sprayed all over the floor. I shoot Jay a look for being way to amused infront of Dhalia. " I mean, yes, Uncle Adam is going to get a serious talking to. " Jay says trying to not to laugh. " Just eat the muffins. " I sigh passing the muffins to Jay and Dhalia. " Thanks. " Jay and Dhalia say in unison.
