Jace had let her sob in his arms and had stroked her hair as she poured out her heart's pain to him.And after she had cried so much that it hurt, he had carried Katherine back to her room, laying her softly on the bed and kissed her head in a brotherly manner before pulling up the blankets and closing the door after him as he left Katherine to sleep.
She knew better, she knew she wouldn't be able to sleep ever again.

''You need Alec's stele to open the safe and you want me to do steal it from him?'' Katherine raised her eyebrows at Jace and Izzy as the three stood in the training room. Jace narrowed his eyes and circled her ''We prefer the word borrow.'' she gave him a sarcastic chuckle.
''Without his knowledge. '' Izzy smiled at her and Katherine chuckled before running her hand through her hair ''Do you even have to ask? I mean ...Alec's wrong in this situation and you guys are right.I am with you. Let's do this.'' she rubbed her hands together and Jace and Izzy shared a look of concern
''What?'' Jace shrugged his shoulders ''Nothing. This was way too easy.'' Katherine narrowed her eyes as Izzy nodded in agreement ''Like way easy.'' She knew what they were hinting at. Katherine did love Alec, she had admitted that to herself, but she wasn't going to be a hindrance in his and Lydia's marriage, that wasn't her way. She wanted him to be happy, even if she wasn't.
''Are we doing this or not?''

Since Katherine had more angelic blood than normal shadowhunters, she had more abilities than just to heal other people, one of the being something she was soon to find out.
Katherine walked towards Alec's office and opened the door and froze not really thinking about Alec sitting on his table's edge....without a shirt. He froze too, his hands sweating and clumsy upon seeing her ''Kate?'' she chuckled and kept her eyes on his face ''Yeah, um....here let me help with that.'' she took the dirty bandage out of his hand and her heart beat increased as she leaned over his bare chest, her hair tickling his bare skin and leaving goosebumps in their wake.Alec shivered, though didn't know whether it was because of the wound or because she was standing so close to him.
''What's wrong?'' Katherine wiped away a bit of blood with the bandage, her eyes locking on Alec's eyes that had again turned a darker shade ''Nothing.'' she gave him a smile that made Alec's heart swell with some powerful emotion.
Katherine moved her eyes away from him to hide the pain and to look for his stele, which she saw laying in the pocket of his jacket on the table. An idea popped in her head and instead of thinking through it, she simply placed her hand on the stele, not wanting Alec to see here doing what she was going to.
As if he could have, all Alec could think about was the way her hair tickled his face and chest, and the way Katherine's fingers gently wiped away the blood and the fact that her face was close to his.
Katherine closed her eyes and focused on magically portaling the stele to the training room, at Jace's feet and felt the weight of the stele disappear beneath her hand, she only hoped it landed where it was supposed to.
She was still wiping away the blood on his wound with one hand, the other being on his jacket's pocket.Alec again shivered and she touched his shoulder ''Don't jump around, more blood's coming out.'' his eyes were closed and he briefly thought whether he would faint because of the warm and dizzy effect Katherine had on him.
It's done. And how did you make it appear like that? Jace's voice entered her mind.
Another one of mine special angelic abilities.
