Not alone anymore

Chapter 14

It took a bit before Regina answered my question. Of course I took that as a bad sign. I went over to the refrigerator in my room and got a beer. I opened it and took a long drink of it. "Would you please sit down Emma". I sit back down and wait to hear what she has to say. "Emma I thought about where I would like to be in 50 years and where I want to be is right with you. I want to raise children with you and I want to spoil our grandchildren with you. You know I can't have kids, but maybe we can adopt or use a surrogate. I love you Emma and I want a whole life with you". She smiles at me as a tear falls from her eyes. "You really do?  You want a life with me?  I have nothing Regina. What do you think I can bring to this life you want with kids and grandkids?"   "Emma what do you think you happen when we got into a relationship?  Maybe we'd have fun for a little while and that was it?  Well I want more. That's what relationships are about. I know your new to relationships but not everyone is looking for a one night stand and I'm definitely not that type of girl. I never was".   "No Regina. I don't want any kind of one night stand. You already knew I wasn't a player. The first time we made love, it was my first time. I want you baby, all the time. I hate being away from you that's why I texted you a little while ago. Regina I". I stopped speaking. After a moment of silence Regina asked. "What is it my love?"   "Nothing. Never mind. Let's just move on".  "Em. Please just tell me what you were going to say otherwise it'll just drive me crazy".   "Ok, your right. I'm sorry. What I was going to say was that I absolutely loved being by your side all week and I know it was because I wanted to be there to help you with everything you were going through and I wouldn't have changed anything but in my head I just feel like now that things may have settled down and now your sister is here and we still are in a relationship and I'm so grateful for that. I can't wait for our future, but what I really want to know is what happens now?  Do I come back to live here at Granny's?  I have always loved living here until I was with you all the time and sleeping by your side every night. When I came back here earlier I realized I was alone again and it's such a lonely feeling that I never noticed before you. I do love you. I know it's so soon but I truly do. So like I said. What happens now?"   "Well Emma you do know how to ramble on. I'll give you that". She says with a small smile. "My love, I wish I knew what was best to say to you right now. Unfortunately I don't know. I'm sorry".  "So what do we do Regina?"  It's silent for a few minutes and Regina begins to speak. "When I went up to our bedroom to see what was taking you so long and then I found your note. I'll be honest, I was pissed that you left like that but I can understand why you did. Like I said my sister is hard to handle".   There was silence again. "Emma will you please come back home with me?"  She reaches over and holds my hand. "I'd really like that Regina. When do you what me to come back?"  "Right now my love". We both smile and I get up and give her a kiss. "Sure. I'd love to. Just let me grab something to sleep in and something to wear tomorrow and we can go".   "No. Actually Emma, I'd like you to bring more clothes than that".  "How much more?"   "How about everything you have?"   "Fucking seriously babe?"   She laughs a bit. "I'm completely fucking serious my love. I can't imagine you not sleeping next to me tonight or any other night".   "Ok I'd love to but should I only take my clothes?"   "You can take everything you have if you'd like because I'd prefer that you never leave home again".   "So are we moving in together?"  She laughs. "Your not really good on subtle hints are you my love?"  It's my turn to laugh now. "No not really. I never actually had a home where anyone actually wanted me to stay for a while, other than Granny's of course".  She gets up to look me right in the eyes. "Emma Swan would you please move in with me?"  I big smile comes to my face. "Ok. That works for me. Yes babe. I'd totally love to".   We quickly kiss and I start to gather my clothes and put them in my duffel bag. "Ok babe I'm good. You ready?"   "That's all you want to take?"  "For now yeah. I can come back for more at another time".  She walks over and kisses me again. "Come on my love. Let's go home".  I kiss her and we hold hands. "I'm ready". We smile as we walk out and go down to her car. She wouldn't let me drive because I've had a few drinks. I was fine with it. We drive over to her house and walk in the door together. Once we walk in she locks the door behind us and says. "Welcome home my love".  We kiss and I say. "It's to be home babe".   "Go put your stuff upstairs my love and then maybe we can order something to eat because I'm hungry. I haven't eaten yet".   "Ok babe. I'll be right back". We kiss then I run up the stairs to Regina's room. I leave my bag of clothes near the bed. I walk out of the bedroom and almost run into Regina's sister. We both startle each other and I apologize for walking out of the room so quickly and not looking where I was going. "Oh Miss Swaine was it?  Hello".   "It's actually Swan. Emma Swan. Hey. Good to see you again".   "Swaine/Swan whatever. Where is my sister?"   "She's downstairs".  "Thanks".  That's all she says and walks passed me to start walking downstairs.  "She's not gonna be easy to win over is she?" I say quietly to myself as I begin to walk downstairs.  I find Regina and her sister in the living room sitting on the couch together so I sit across from them in one of the chairs. They are both laughing and giggling. Immediately I feel out of place. "Hello my love. Zelena was just saying she wanted some sushi for dinner. What do you think?"   "No actually I don't care for sushi at all. I prefer my seafood cooked. Although I can only eat certain types of seafood otherwise I get sick".  "Great job Regina. You pick a chick with a weak stomach. How about a pizza Miss Swaine? Or will that also make you sick?"   "Zelena stop it right now. You will not talk to Emma that way, and her last name is Swan. If that's to hard for you remember then just call her Emma".  "Well my apologies Miss Swan. There Regina am I forgiven now?"   "No Zelena you are not forgiven just yet. Your acting just like mother did. If that's the way you plan on acting then you can just go back to London. I will not let you or mother treat anyone I love with so much disrespect. Apologize to Emma and change your attitude or just go home. Excuse me I need a drink now".  Regina gets up and leaves the room. Now it's only Zelena and I.  "Well my sister has always been dramatic. I guess I have been a little snarky towards you and I'm very sorry".  "Thank you. I can except your apology but I hope that we don't have to go through all that again".  "No Emma. I don't think will be necessary. So what would you like for dinner?"   "We'll just you split things down the middle. I know a great Chinese restaurant in town that does nice sushi as well as all the regular food.  There is a menu in the kitchen if you'd like to see it".  "Great lead the way. I could use another drink anyway".   We both walk into the kitchen and see Regina sitting on a chair at the island. She's drinking a glass of wine. Zelena refills her wine glass while I get the menu. I find it and hand it to Zelena.  "Emma dear what are you doing? You don't like sushi".  "I know babe but this restaurant has sushi and regular food for me. I thought we could compromise a bit".  She gets up and kisses me. "You are to good my love. Thank you". We kiss again and I go get a beer from the fridge. Regina looks at me but nods. I take that as her approval. It's only a beer and we are getting food.  We order everything we wanted and then when it finally arrived we sat in the living room and watched a movie as we ate. The rest of the night went great. We ate, watched movies and then called it a night. I actually had fun and I think Regina did as well. When we ended the night we all said good night. Zelena went up to her room and Regina and I checked to make sure everything was put away and the doors were locked then we walked up to her bedroom. We walked in and closed the door. "Emma why didn't you put any of your clothes away?"   "Well I wanted to get back to you and I didn't know where I should put it all".  "It's ok my love, I will make room for all your stuff in the morning. I'm sorry I didn't do it before. I just wasn't expecting this but I'm so happy that you are here. So get out your pajamas and let's get some sleep my love".   "Sounds wonderful babe".  I open my bag and take out some sweatpants and a t-shirt. I change and we both do a nighttime routine of brushing and going to the bathroom. We both then snuggle together in bed and I don't know about Regina but I was exhausted and fell asleep almost instantly. I was so content holding her in my arms as we slept.
