Things were actually nice for the next few days. Zelena has been staying here the whole time. She's kind of a lot of fun when you get past the bitchy parts. One morning I wake up before Regina and I get up and shower and head downstairs. I see zelena in the kitchen drinking her tea and working on some sketches for her new line of clothes. "Morning Z. How are things?" "Not bad so far, but it's still early". She says with a smile. I get some orange juice and sit next to her at the island. "Hey Z I'm sorry to bother you while your working but I was hoping to ask you something". She puts her pad of paper and pencil down and looks at me. "So what is it blondie?" "So as you know Regina's birthday is only a few days away and I want to buy her something nice, and I'm just wondering if you have any ideas". "Well jewelry is always good. Fancy dinner somewhere. I know my sister and she loves to get dressed up and go out on the town. Oh what about some beautiful flowers? If I remember correctly she loves lilacs. She loves the smell or something". "Zelena thank you so much. I think I know exactly want I'm going to do now". "And what is that?" Just then Regina walked into the kitchen. "Good morning. I know why Zelena is up but why are you up so early Emma my love? It usually takes a bomb to go off to get you out of bed so early and here you are sitting with my sister at 8 in the morning. Everything ok dear?" I get up, walk over to her and kiss her. "Everything is great babe. I just have a few errands to run this morning and I want to go get it over with". We kiss and she starts to make some coffee. "Ok Gina I'm gonna go out for a while. Need anything while I'm out?" "Not that I can think of, but I could come with you while you run these errands if you just give me a little time to get ready". "As much as I would love that it's just a few things and the sooner I do those the sooner I get back here to you". She kisses me and we hear Zelena start to cough. We all start laughing. "Ok babe I'll be back in a little while. Love you". "Love you to sweetheart hurry back". We kiss again and I leave to start doing what I need to get done. I really hope Regina will like what I've come up with.
My first stop is over to Game Of Thorns. The flower shop here in Storybrooke. I tell Mr. French what I wanted and he said that it was no problem and that it was good that I came in early. I left the florist and went to complete my next few errands. Once everything was done I drove back to Regina's and found them in the living room watching a movie. I walked in and sat next to Regina we snuggled together and I started to watch the rest of the movie with them. Unfortunately I ended up falling asleep. I guess waking up early makes me sleepy. When the movie ended Regina woke me up. "Emma dear it's time for lunch". I wake up to her voice. "I'm sorry I fell asleep". "It's ok dear. So I was thinking what if you, Zelena and I go out for lunch?" "I'm ok with it. What about you Zelena?" "I guess I could put up with with you two on the outside". The sisters go upstairs to shower and get dressed, then we decide where to go. We left to eat at the Mexican restaurant just across town and we all had a great time. A few days later it was finally Regina's birthday. I couldn't wait for her to get all the gifts I got for her. I got up early so I could make Regina breakfast in bed. I made scrambled eggs, wheat toast, some nice crispy bacon and home fries. Of course I had fruit salad on the side. I made her favorite tea and added a nice glass of chilled orange juice. I put everything on a tray and brought it up to the bedroom. I put the tray on the nightstand and turned on the light. I kissed Regina's cheek and spoke to her. "Happy birthday babe. I made you breakfast I hope your hungry this morning". "Hmm Emma. What time is it?" "It's almost 9 o'clock babe. Get up so you can eat your breakfast while it's still hot". She slowly sits up and wipes her eyes. I put the tray on Regina's lap and I took the top off the plate. The food was still warm because I saw steam come from the plate when I took the top off. "Oh Emma. You made all this for me?" She has a big smile on her face. "Of course I did babe. I love you. I wanted you to have a nice birthday breakfast. Please eat babe". She starts to eat and I just sit by her side and wait to see if she needs anything. I was so happy she ate everything I made for her. As I took the empty dishes downstairs Regina went in to take a shower. Zelena was already in the kitchen. I put the plates and glasses in the sink. "So how did my sister like her birthday breakfast?" "I think she liked it a lot and there is more to come". Regina walks into the kitchen and starts to make another cup of tea then we hear the front door bell ring. I smile and say. "I think that's for you babe. Maybe you should go get it". She smiles. "Emma what have you done?" "I don't know what your talking about babe". Regina gives me look then she walks out to answer the door. I quietly follow behind her and watch her open the door. It's the florists with a delivery for Regina. It's a beautiful vase full of lovely lilacs. "Oh my goodness. These are beautiful. Thank you". "Your welcome ma'am. I also have something else for you in my truck. If you'd please give me a moment and then show me where to plant it I can be on my way". "You have something to plant?" "Yes ma'am. I'm just doing what the delivery orders tell me to". He walks away to goes back to the truck. Regina turns around and sees me. "Emma Swan what have you done?" "Why you blaming me?" She laughs. "Because this has you written all over it". We both laugh as we walk into the kitchen. "Oh there is a card with the flowers. What does it say?" I ask. She opens the card and reads it out loud. "Happy birthday babe. There's more to come. Love Emma". "Oh Emma I love this. I don't need more. What else have you done?" I kiss her and the door bell rings again. "Emmaaaa. What else have you done?" "Go answer the door babe and find out". She does and Zelena and I follow her to the door. Regina opens it and the florist is standing there with a small lilac bush that's ready to be planted. "Hello again ma'am. Where would you like me to plant this?" "I guess I can show you around to the backyard. I'm not sure where it's best to plant this. Maybe you can suggest where it would be best". He finds a good spot and tells us that it's best that the lilac bush gets 6 to 8 hours of sun a day so they will bloom. Regina agrees and he starts to dig so he can plant the bush. Once it's all done he walks up to us and gives us a few pamphlets on how to best take care of the lilac bush. He tells us if we need anything else to just call the shop and they will help us out. Regina and I thank him and he leaves. "Emma I can't believe you did this. Thank you my love". We hold each other and kiss. "Your welcome babe. I love you and want you to always have the best birthday". "Oh my love. I love you so much. Thank you. Thank you". "Baby you are very welcome. So you want your next gift or do you want to wait?" "Well I definitely don't want to wait now. What is it Emma?" "Lets go up to the bedroom so we can talk". She nods and we go inside. Regina and I go up to our bedroom. We sit on the bed and start to talk. "My next gift for you Regina is an great night out at a fancy restaurant. So I want you to pick something nice to wear because tonight we are going out to Amici's. The limo will pick us up at 6 o'clock babe. So you better be ready". "Emma this is way to much. Why did you do all this?" "Because I love you Regina. I want you to have the best birthday I can get you. I can't get you an expensive piece of jewelry but I can get you a few other things that I hope you like". "Like? Emma, I absolutely love all this already. I don't need a fancy dinner my love". "Well to bad babe because a fancy dinner is coming up". She gives me a look and says. "Ok Emma. I'll let you have your fun, but just wait till your birthday my love. That reminds me Emma. I don't even know when your birthday is. Would you please tell me". "My birthday was about 6 weeks ago but it's not a big deal. I always had shitty birthdays so no one knowing my birthday was fine with me". "Why didn't you tell me Emma?" "We weren't together then. My birthday was actually the day I ended up walking out and quitting school, besides I hate being the center of attention so it's just as well". She gives me a sad look. I hold her. "Come on babe relax. I'm fine. This is your birthday so no sad faces. Come on help me pick out something nice to wear tonight". She nods and we look through my clothes but I only have one pair of black dress pants and I have one button down shirt. It's green. So we just went with that and Regina decided to wear an amazingly beautiful blue dress. About 5 o'clock we both started to get ready. When I all showered and dressed. I looked in the mirror and I thought I looked ok. I mean it's old clothes so it is what it is. My hair isn't sticking up and it's pulled back in a ponytail. My teeth are clean and I used mouth wash just in case. When I was done I went downstairs just as the door bell rings. "I'll get it Regina". I call to her upstairs. Zelena who is still here with us come walking out to the foyer. She smiles at me. I go to open the door and it's our limo driver. I tell him we will be just a few minutes he nods and says he will wait by the car. I thank him and close the door. "You look very nice Emma". "Thanks Z. I'm a little nervous I hope Regina has a good time tonight". "Emma. I've never seen my sister so in love with anyone like she is with you. Tonight will be absolutely perfect I just know it". "Thank you Zelena. I really appreciate it. Please excuse me. I have to get the flowers I hid in the refrigerator in the garage". She nods and I go get them. I got Regina some roses for tonight. Can't have a date with out flowers. When I come back she's standing in the foyer with her sister.
