Kageyama was running, fast. "Wait Kageyama come back, I'm sorry!" Hinata yelled after him. Hinata chased Kageyama for an hour, he wouldn't have stop even if he had to run for the entire night with his lungs on fire. Eventually though Kageyama collapsed under a streetlight, tears flowing from his eyes like a river.
"Stop it!" Kageyama cried "Just leave me alone...please",
"No" Hinata stated after catching his breath "I'm not leaving you; you shouldn't be alone; your upset and you shouldn't be alone".
"I'M NOT UPSET" he yelled,
"You're crying Kags, I don't think that counts as okay". The raven-haired boy reached a hand up to his face, feeling the tears on his face, he gave a look of surprise as if he hadn't known they were there before.
"I'm okay..."
"No, you're not, but we are going to go back to my house and make sure you are actually okay, alright?"
"B-but"
"No, we are going home come on".
Hinata grabbed Kageyama's hand and helped him up. They walked back to Hinata's house hand in hand while Kageama stared disbelievingly at the shorter boy.
"Alright we're here" Hinata said breaking the silence as he knocked on the door,
"Onii-San!" Natsu yelled as she flung open the door,
"Hey Natsu! Can you ask mum if Kageyama can stay over?" Hinata asked,
"SURE!" Natsu exclaimed as she bounded back into the house,
"Come on mum always says yes to having people over, so we can just go straight up to my room" Hinata said. Kageyama just let him pull him up the stairs in a fuzzy daze. "You can sit down on the bed if you want" Hinata spoke out again, more softly this time.
Kageyama sniffled "You promised to keep it a secret, why didn't you, you promised" the sadness in Kageyama's eyes was heart breaking.
"I know, I know, but it slipped and... it's not healthy to ignore it, too-too... suppress it, you saw what happened to Tsukishima he collapsed it hurt him, a lot" Hinata replied, not looking at him.
"But-but" Kageyama stuttered.
Hinata turned around "Listen Kags i know this is scary and not something your used too and you probably think your whole life is going to be turned upside down" he spoke firmly and seriously, a new look on Hinata, but he was surprisingly good at it "But it will be okay, and I will help, the team could care less about your classification, everyone is perfectly fine with Tanaka, Noya and Tsukki. They care about you; they are your team. And you're my setter, you're my friend, my best friend, I-I love you Kage, a lot".
"Really?",
Hinata kissed Kageyama on the forehead "Really".
