Secret Love

chapter 9

Jay's pov

"What's your problem dude?" Chris asked as he walked past me to run after sky but I stopped him.

"Don't you dare go after her! " I said as i pushed him roughly to the ground.

Am so pissed off right now. I don't know what happenend to me but when I saw Chris all over sky all I wanted to beat the hell out of him.

"I am well aware of the stupid shit you do to girls and I will never let you do that to her. Leave her alone if you don't want me to rip your head off, "I said giving him a deadly glare.

"Why are you acting all jealous, Chris said getting up from the floor. You are inlove with her aren't you? Don't think I didn't notice the way you were looking at her while you were dancing ."

I took a step towards him and grabbed his collar.

"Of course I love her, she is my best friend and I will always watch over her. Stay away from her", I said as i let go off him and turned to go find sky.

I pushed my way through the crowd full of drunk teenagers who were obviously enjoying the show. I really messed up and I hopped sky would forgive me. I was never a violent person but sky was doing things to me that I couldn't explain.

Sky was the best thing that ever happend to me. Being with her made me feel like everything I ever needed and wanted in my life was with me. Holding her in my arms was something that I couldn't get enough of and making her smile had become everything I ever wanted to do but lately I've been messing.

I love her so damn much!

I couldn't tell you the exact moment I fell in love with her. I was in denial for months, until the day that Serena asked me on a date. It really hurt that sky had no problem with me dating her best friend and that was proof enough that she didn't feel the same way I did.

I had two practical options, Either tell her just how much I loved her, take the risk and bet my whole life of it or l could just pretend that I don't, lie to both myself and her but protect our friendship. Any rational thinking person would've picked the second option and that's what I did. I'd rather have her as a friend than not at all.

I went to the living room and my eyes scanned the whole room but there was no sign of her. Just as I was about to leave and try to find her outside I spotted Serena dancing with a guy I didn't know and I went over.

Serena saw me before I got to her and she moved fast giving me a hug.

"I missed you Jay, where did you go?" She asked her head leaning on my chest.

looking at her I noticed she was drunk.

"What happened Serena, why did you drink this much? "

"There was nothing else left to do after you left me dancing alone to go find sky. Why do you always leave me? Why can't you just love me huh?" She asked hitting my chest lightly.

Serena was nice girl but I just didn't love her the way she wanted me to. I really hated seen her like this but there was nothing I could do. Sometime I wished I was in love with her and not sky. That would have made things much easier for both of us.

"Am sorry I left you alone... have you seen sky around, I've been looking for her and I can't find her?

"sky again? Why can't you just let her have fun. Stop treating her like a child already, " she said rolling her eyes.

"You're too drunk to be left alone, come on let's find you a room for to lay down," I told her taking her hand and leading her upstairs.

I was really starting to freak out. Where could sky be? It was almost midnight and there's no way she could have left alone.

I was familiar with Jim's house since this wasn't my first time here. I went straight to Jim's room and thankfully it was unoccupied . I layed Serena on the bed tucking her in and making sure that she was comfortable.

"Have some rest, I'll come get you once I find Sky. "

"Okay," she said as i walked out of the room locking the door behind me.

"Hey Sam, "I called out as I saw him about to go downstairs. Sam was the Bassist in my band and also a close friend of Jim.

"Hey bro, happy birthday, "he said as he approached me giving me a bro hug.

"Thanks, have you by any chance seen sky? "

"Actually yes...I saw Jim carry her upstairs some minutes ago, I think she was to drunk to walk. "

"Wait what? theres no way she could have been drunk , I was just with her not long ago, "

"I don't know men but that's what it looked like to me. Maybe he took her to his room you should check ," Jim said.

"I was just there and she isn't there. I'll check the guest room, see you later, " I told him as i rushed down the hall to the guest room.

My heart was really beating fast. I hoped against hope that nothing had happened to her.

I knocked on the door to no avail and decided to budge right in. I sighed in relief when I saw sky lying on the bed. She was covered all the way to her neck. I went closer and sat at the edge of the bed to check if she was awake.

At that moment I heard a sound Come out of the washroom and when I lifted my eyes I saw Jim coming out of the bathroom with  only a short on. Seeing him like that made me act quickly as I lifted the covers  to see if sky was dressed and to my surprise she wasn't. She was actually half naked.

"What the hell did you do to her?"I jumped up rushing to him ready to attack.

"Nothing, come down!"

"Don't you dare tell me to come down! why is she almost naked Jim? I swear if you touched her I will kill you, " I told him ready to throw the first blow.

"I just undressed her to make her comfortable. She was to drunk to even move and the reason am shirtless is because she puked all over me. Am not a pervert, I was just helping her, " he said looking straight at me.

"I just hope for your own sake, you're telling me the truth Jim. Give me back her clothes, " I said angrily as i went back and sat next to sky who was still sleeping peacefully.

I didn't understand how she could have gotten drunk so fast.

Jim gave me her clothes and I dressed her up . I couldn't help but notice how beautiful and breath taking her body was. Just touching her made my body heat up like I was on fire.

"Am going to take sky home," I said as i lifted her up bridal style and started walking out the door.

"And would you do me a favour and let Serena spend the night here she's sleeping in your room and her brother is too drunk to take her home,"

"Sure, i'll take care of her. "

With that I went out and straight to my car. I opened the back door and layed sky gently on the backseat making sure she was comfortable. There was no way I was taking her to her place like that so I called her dad and told him that she was spending the night at my place.

A soon as I got home, I tucked her in my bed slowly. It had been so long since she had slept over and I really missed it. I just hoped she wouldn't be to upset with me when she woke up.
