Secret Love

chapter 42

I watched in horror as Eddy over powered Jim and knocked him out . He then turned to look at me with a grin wiping some blood from his lips.

" That is not a toy sky, now give it to me, " he said stretching out his hand as he took small steps towards me." I bet you don't even know how to use it. "

" Stay the fuck away from me Eddy!" I said, trying my best not to give in to fear.  " I may not know how to use it but maybe this is the time to learn. "

" Just give it to me you silly girl!" Eddy roared increasing his pace towards me .

I got really scared and pulled the trigger unknowingly , shooting the ground next to his feet.  He jumped back, clearly surprised . I was also startled that i screamed my lungs out as i dropped the gun my hands trembling .

Eddy had a shocked look on his face and he was frozen for a second and i took that opportunity to run.

" Stop or I won't think twice before shooting, " he shouted cocking  the gun and i stopped.

I spinned and raised my hands up in surrender, praying to the heavens that he doesn't shoot.

Jim was getting up now, and as soon as he saw what was happening , he ran past Eddy, towards me shielding me from the gun.

It really felt like Deja Vu, like it was happening all over again!

" What is wrong with you Jim?  Why are you so bent on protecting her, when she is the one who ruined our lives! If I knew you'd ruin my plans I'd have let you rot in prison!" Eddy said. He was so angry that his veins were showing .

" The only reason i accepted your stupid offer to break me out of prison was to protect her from you !You know that I love her and I won't let you do anything to her. "

" But she doesn't love you, dumb ass! she' ll be out here having fun with Jay, while you are rotting in prison. Get the hell out of my way or I won't hesitate to shoot you!"

" Lets just go.. okay?  We can start a new life somewhere else."

" With what money Jim? Stop wasting my time and move, now! My friends are almost here and they want her. "

" Am not going to let you hurt her! "Jim said.

All this  time I was just standing there frozen, my mind in so many different places. I still couldn't believe that Jim was actually trying to save me. His father's death did really bring out tge humanity in him.

" Okay.. " Eddy said shooting Jim on the leg.

Jim fell to the ground, cursing out in pain, while I screamed like crazy for help.

" Shut the fuck up!"  He yelled walking towards me but then suddenly the police showed up from behind him,  telling him to drop the gun.

" Eddy, " the inspector called out from behind me. "Don't do this, you have to drop your gun. I know you pretty much know what will happen if you don't. "

I looked over my shoulder and saw  Jay and the inspector approaching with two police men .

" Please Eddy, do as they say. I don't want to loose you too ," Jim said still on the ground .

It's crazy that, he was still worried about Eddy even after he shot him!

" No, I'd rather die than spend the rest of my life in  prison! " he said  but before he could pull the trigger on me, he was shot multiple times from behind and I watched in horror as his lifeless  body fell to the ground.

Oh my God!

" Are you okay? "

" Jay! " I said as he wrapped his arms tightly around me. " I was so scared!"
