Hey all. Just a quick one before we start. Make sure you all check out all of my other books too. I tend to make references to them when I write, so keep an eye out.

Michael Davies' POV.

There she is!

Violet Ankamah.

She's a doctor now. She's done well for herself.

I watch her for a bit, as she finds a table.

The waiter leading her, let's her sit and he seems to be talking her.

He's also a bit taller than her, and he is a well built South Asian man.

But he looks quite young.

He's got to be in college.

She smiles shyly and looks away.

He's flirting.

I walk up to her and I put a hand on her shoulder.

She flinches and smacks my hand, spinning around to face me, eyes wide and terror in her eyes.

She calms down, when she realises it's me.

My chest stabs with guilt.

The fact that I recognise that look...

"Micheal" she says, standing up.

I look down at her.

Up close, she's quite small.

Well she's always been shorter than me.

Even back in the day.

But her body has changed very much.

She's not nearly as skinny anymore.

Her curves have come out more prominently.

Her skin is immaculate.

And she doesn't wear braces anymore.

Obviously, Michael.

She looks good.

I smile at her.

"Hey" I say with a small grin.

She looks away.

"Micheal" she greets again.

She sits down and I follow suit.

"How are you?" I ask her.

Just as I ask her, the waiter from earlier comes back with two plates.

He sets them down, looking at her.

"Here ya go. And for you... it's on the house" he says to her, his cheeks tinting red.

He's blushing.

She smiles at him.

"Thank you, Kareem." She coos.

He blushes harder.

"Anything for you, doc" he says and she chuckles.

"How's your brother?" She asks, with a tiny grin.

They know each other?!

"Still an idiot" he mumbles, rolling his eyes.

"Just make sure I don't have to surgically remove any more unusual objects from any unusual places, and we should be good" she says with a smile.

He leans in and tugs on one of the looser curls in her hair.

"You still owe me a date, Doctor" he says.
