"Look, I got a B-!" I say, showing Lucas as he comes through the front door.

"I see. I'm the one who graded it silly."

"You know what, I'm going to hang it on the fridge like the old days, but instead I hung up drawing because my elementary tests sucked."

"And I'm the ones who graded those too." He says, laughing.

I made a displeased expression. "Don't remind me."

"You ready for that ice cream?"

"Yes! Where should we go?" I say excitedly.

"Dairy Queen? Or the towns ice cream."

"Dairy Queen for sure."

"Alright, let's head out." He says, grabbing his keys from his pocket.

We made it to the destination. We are in the parking lot thinking about what we should get. I have my phone out with the website pulled up.

"What are you getting?" I say, asking him.

"The regular. Vanilla ice cream." He says, handing me back my phone.

"You are so plain. We should get two different kinds of blizzards and try them."

"You lead the way. I'm up for anything."

I hand him back my phone. "I already know what blizzard to get."

He skims through the choices. "Alright, let's go get dem blizzards."

"Welcome to Dairy Queen. What can I get you, two lovely people?"

"A medium oreo cheesecake blizzard," I say, happily.

She types it into her screen. "And for you sir?"

"The Royal Rock Road."

"Medium as well?"

"Yes, ma'am."

"Okay, you guys are all set. How will you be paying."

Before Lucas could speak, I interrupted him. "Cash," I say, pulling out a twenty from my back pocket.

"Bell it's okay. It's my treat. I'm paying."

I hand her the twenty. "Too late."

"Well, aren't you guys the cutest couple."

We both look at each other confused.

"Oh, we aren't dating. I'm her baby sitter."

I gave him a what the fuck look.

"My bad." She says in embarrassment.

Lucas grabs a couple of napkins at the front. "All good."

We sat down at the tables inside. She comes out, holding two ice creams.

"Here are your two blizzards. You guys have a wonderful day."

I take the cups. "You too!"

Lucas opens the door as I'm carrying the blizzards.

"Did you have to say, babysitter?" I say with the bright sun shining into my eyes.

"What did you want me to say? Hey, I'm with my student getting ice cream."

"Okay, you got a point, but she doesn't know the story behind why we are together."

"Yes, but she will probably assume the worse." He says, talking over the car.

I open the passenger door with my one free hand. "What's the worst?" I say, getting in the car.

"What do you think?'
