After an eventful hour in History with Keefe and Dex, Sophie was on her way to her Theater Class—but as she walked down the hallways, Keefe caught up to her.
"Where're you going next Foster?" He asked, taking out his schedule and looking over it.
"Theater," Sophie said. "Where're you going?"
Keefe gave her an trademark smirk. "What a coincidence, we're going to the same place."
"What?" Sophie asked, snatching Keefe's schedule and looking at it. "This has to be wrong."
Because Sophie wasn't sure she could stand any more of Keefe's annoying, corny, and mildly amusing jokes.
"It's not," Keefe said, smirking at her.
Sophie sighed rolling her eyes. "And we have Art together too," Sophie groaned, handing Keefe back his schedule. "I hate whoever makes those things,"
Keefe shrugged. "Hey, I thought you liked hanging out with me,"
Sophie never got to answer that question because, suddenly, the late-bell rang.
Sophie's eyes widened as she and Keefe shared a look, before they both bolted for the Theater room.
When they came in, Mr. T was in the middle of taking attendance—and thankfully he'd just called Sophie's name.
"Here!" She said as Keefe shut the door behind them.
"Miss Foster," Mr. T said, turning to face her. "It's unusual for you to be late,"
Sophie's face turned red at all the people staring at her. "Sorry," She said. "I got...held up,"
Mr. T nodded, though he looked as if he didn't like her answer. "Well, take your seat—and don't let it happen again."
Sophie mumbled a, "Yes sir," before she looked and saw Tam, Linh, and Jensi sitting on a couch in the corner.
She and Keefe walked over to them, but Mr. T stopped him.
"Excuse me," He said, looking at Keefe. "You're Mr. Sencen, right?"
Keefe grinned. "The one and only,"
Mr. T smiled, but it was quickly replaced with a frown. "Since you've never been in my class before, I'll enlighten you. If you cause your classmates to be late to my class, you'll be put in detention for misusage of time and for distracting others. Do you understand?"
"Yes sir," Keefe said, not grinning anymore.
Mr. T nodded before saying, "You may have a seat,"
Keefe made his way over to their group, and after Mr. T had taken roll, he told them to get into a group and come up with a skit.
"This skit won't be performed in front of anyone but your classmates," He informed them. "It's a pretty simple task so I expect it to be done in two weeks. When you have a general idea, I want you to write it down and bring it to me."
There was no doubt that Mr. T was a bit stricter than their old Theater teacher, but if you got on his good-side, he was a really cool person.
Sophie, Keefe, Tam, Jensi, and Linh automatically knew they would work together, and as soon as they'd gotten situated, Keefe exclaimed to their group, "I have an idea!"
Sophie and Linh shared a look, because they were probably both thinking the same thing: Oh no, Keefe Sencen has a plan for a skit.
"What's your plan?" Tam asked.
