A week later, everything was pretty normal. Everyone went to class, surprisingly no one got put in detention, and they all hung out a lot more after Fitz and Keefe's football practice.

After Sophie's Theater class was over, she and the rest of her drama friends made their way to lunch. Sophie grabbed her tray and got a taco, a small salad, and a bottle of water. She paid with a five dollar bill and got two dollars back before she made her way to her regular table with her friends.

Marella, Maruca, and Biana weren't at the table yet, but it only took them a few minutes to get there, and as soon as Biana sat down she stared Sophie right in the eyes and announced, "Sophie, after cheer practice I'm coming over to your house today!"

Sophie blinked and probably looked as confused as everyone else in the lunchroom. "Okay...not that I mind, but why?"

Biana's face went extremely red as everyone else stared at her. "Um...I need to talk to you about something important. Is that okay?"

Sophie shrugged her shoulders. "I guess, I'll just need to text Edaline and ask if she could pick us both up afterwards."

"I already did," Biana said with a grin. "She said it was fine as long as my mom said it was okay, and I asked my mom and she said that I could!"

"Okay," Sophie said, biting her lip. "I guess it's a done-deal then,"

Biana smiled wide before she turned her attention to her salad and started eating it.

"Alright," Keefe said, breaking the awkward silence Biana's announcement had caused. "Are you all going to the football game tomorrow. It is the start of the playoffs."

Sophie knew that she was going, and most of her friends were too, but Marella didn't look very happy about Keefe's question.

"You can't go, can you?" Maruca asked Marella with a pitying look.

Marella rolled her eyes. "Yes—and I don't even know why. Sure my mom's a little sick, but my dad could always watch her." It was quiet for a little while before Marella's face perked up. "Hey—maybe I could sneak out!"

Sophie didn't want to tell her friend that the idea wasn't the best, so she stayed silent as Keefe continued talking about how they were going to win and how the other team sucked.

"Wait," Sophie said, cutting him off. "Who are we playing?"

Fitz and Keefe shared a look. "The Exilium Gremlins," They both said with a smile.

"Our biggest rivals," Keefe said, nodding his head. "We haven't won against them in ten years, but I'm sure we'll win this year,"

Sophie, Biana, and Linh all shared a look that said: He's lying to himself—we're gonna lose.

"Oh," Sophie said after she looked away from her friends. "That's...cool,"

A few minutes of talking and eating later, the bell rang and Fitz and Sophie made their way to their geometry class.

Ever since Stina had been suspended, Sophie's life had been one-hundred times better, and Mrs. Cadence actually would put her and Fitz together when they were working in partners.

The class went super-fast since all they did was take notes, in gym they did a jump-roping contest that Sophie's team won, in art they did a still-life painting, and in study hall they all did their homework.

When the bell rang, Sophie walked to her locker to put away her stuff before she followed Biana and Maruca to the gym where all the cheerleaders practiced.
