Sophie woke up that morning ready to go back to school! She had no idea why, but today felt like it was going to be a good day.

Sophie got out of bed and changed into one of the new outfits she'd gotten for Christmas—plus the necklace Fitz had gotten her—and brushed her hair and teeth before going downstairs and into the kitchen.

She found a plate of pancakes Edaline had made her and finished them in ten minutes before she walked outside to find Fitz waiting for her in his car.

They drove to school with a small conversation between them before Fitz parked the car and the two of them walked inside and to their friend group.

After a bit of talking about their Christmas break, the bells chimed and Mr. Leto came on stage for announcements.

"Welcome back to school everyone," He said with a smile. "I hope you have a productive day and I want to remind you that Prom is coming up and if you want to purchase tickets, talk to the drama teacher. I hope you all have a great day. Goodbye," Then he walked off the stage and everyone made their way to their respective atriums.

"I can't wait until Prom!" Biana sang through the Sophomore Atrium. "I'm so excited!"

"Pfft, you can't even go." Dex said as he grabbed his new schedule out of his book bag.

Biana rolled her eyes. "I didn't mean that. Linh and I are a part of the Prom Committee, and it's going to be spectacular!"

Sophie smiled as she got out her schedule from her book bag and looked it over. "That's cool,"

Biana smiled at Sophie. "Has Fitz asked you yet?"

Sophie shook her head, trying not to feel so disappointed. "No—but I'm sure he will."

Biana nodded right before the bell rang and Sophie made her way to Home Ec.

"That's not the point!" Dex argued, taking a harsh bite out of his cheese pizza. "The point is that the stupid groundhog does not dictate the season of winter and spring!"

"I never said anything about a groundhog," Biana said, crinkling her nose up at Dex.

Dex blinked. "Y-you didn't?"

Biana shook her head. "No—I said that seasonal shoes are a must for any seasonal themed fashion line,"

"Oh," Dex said, his face turning very red.

"Why were you talking about groundhogs?" Tam asked him with a snicker.

"I wasn't!" Dex snapped as he stuffed the rest of his Pizza in his mouth.

Their whole table laughed before Sophie turned to Keefe. "Did you have a good break in Boston?"

Keefe shrugged. "It was okay—I'd rather be here. But, all their accents were super funny."

"I bet they were," Sophie said with a laugh.

"Did you know that Boston was the first place in America with a subway?" Tam said, joining their conversation.

"Well aren't you just a fountain of knowledge," Linh said with a small laugh.

Tam frowned at her. "Don't bring fountains into this Linh," He said. "You know how I feel about them."

"Why doesn't he like fountains?" Keefe stage-whispered to Linh with a laugh.

Linh laughed as well as she said, "When we were little, Tam was looking into a fountain and somebody came up behind him and pushed him in, causing everyone to laugh at him."
