I just realized I haven't done a Johnny one in a while so here...I'm sorry Johnnycake

You've known the gang ever since you were ten.
You've bonded with them instantly.
You loved hanging out with the gang. From the dingo or the drive-in, you loved going everywhere with them. They were family to you.
You were the oldest one in the group, about a two years older than Darry. You were the like mom figure of the group, and you liked it.
Most of the gang never had a caring mom. So you wanted to be one for them.
One day, you were cooking for the gang at the Curtis house.
They always loved your cooking.
"Is it done yet?" Soda whined, leaning on the doorway.
"No, not yet." You giggled, "Just wait, Soda. I'm almost done."
"But it smells so good!"
"Go back to the living room with the others."
Soda groaned loudly, slouching like a hunchback. He slowly walked back to the gang.
A few minutes later, you were finished.
"Come and get it boys!" You called out.
You heard running feet, it sounded like a stampede.
"Out of the way!" Steve snapped at Soda, shoving each other to the kitchen.
"No pushing or you're last." You said as a smirk grew on your face.
They stopped fighting but they still glared at each other.
Everyone got their plates and waited to get their food.
As always, Johnny went to the back of the line and patiently waited for his turn. He often wanted to be last to be polite, putting others first before himself.
You've loved everyone in the gang, but you bonded with Johnny the most.
Now it was his turn to have his share.
"You're too polite, Johnnycake." You joked to him, "You don't have to be at the back every time."
"No, I don't mind." He said as he shook his head.
He was just so sweet, you couldn't control yourself.
"Aw," You started to gush as you cupped his face softly with your hands, "I remember when you were only a little boy. Now you grew up to be a kind, young man."
You booped his button nose.
He chuckled sheepishly and turned a shade of red.
You gave him the food and he said thanks.
You both made your way to the living room where everyone was hanging out.
Mickey was on and Two-Bit was glued to the screen as always.
They all started to gather around the t.v. on the floor.
Everyone grew so much but they were all still kids at heart.
Pony took a bite from his food and his face lit up.
"Woah!" He exclaimed, "Is this a new recipe? This is really good!"
"I'm glad you like it, Pony." You chuckled and ruffled up his hair.
You turn to Johnny.
His eyes were sparkling as he devoured his food in seconds, you started to chuckle as you sat next to him.
He finished it and sighed with satisfaction.
You noticed that his face had food all over it.
You got a napkin and wiped it off for him.
"How is it, Johnny?" You asked as you wiped the food away from his cheek.
"This is one of the best dishes I ever had!" Johnny said.
"Oh gee," You said, sheepishly, "I don't really think so."
"No, it's great, Mom!"
Johnny suddenly realized he called you Mom.
This was the first time this happened.
He slightly gasped and looked away, turning beet red from embarrassment.
Your eyes widened.
The whole room fell silent after Johnny said that.
"I-I'm sorry, Y/N." Johnny apologized quietly, "It just came out, I'm so sor-,"
You immediately embraced him in your arms, cutting him off. You knew that Johnny never had loving parents. He's always wanted a mother who cared for him. You were delighted that you were seen as a loving mother in his eyes.
"Don't apologize, Johnnycake." You whispered into his ear, stroking his hair.
He hugged you back and you felt him bury his face into your shoulder.
You heard him sniffling a bit and you could feel your shirt starting to get soaked.
You rubbed his back and kissed his head.
Johnny felt like a son to you.
The whole gang started to smile. Soda was crying at the tender moment.
You felt them starting to hug you too.
You were only a few years older than everyone, but you felt like a mother holding her children.
A few months later, it was now Johnny's birthday.
You had a great surprise up your sleeve.
After he opened everyone else's gifts, it was now your turn.
You gave him a single piece of folded paper.
Puzzled, Johnny opened it and read it.
His eyes widened, tears starting to form.
It was an adoption paper for him.
"I filled out the rest, all I need is your signature." You said.
This was what Johnny wanted the most.
Tears started to stream from Johnny's face and he started sobbing uncontrollably.
"Th-Tha-Thank y-you!" He said between sobs.
Now everyone was crying.
He got a pen and wrote his signature.
Everyone cheered as Johnny leapt into your arms.
"Thank you." He thanked you again in a soft whisper.
