Chapter 17-Hardin

"Hardin I'm scared"she says her voice barely a whisper "it's will be ok I promise"I hold her hand as she is rushed down apparently the baby is breach I'm don't fully understand I think the baby is not facing the right way

All I'm thinking is 5 weeks early that can't be safe fuck if anything happens to this baby or Tessa

"Tessa you are going to feel some discomfort as we try turn the baby"the nurse says and Tessa nods I take her hand and the nurse starts doing whatever she is doing and Tessa clenches her eyes shut and squeezes my hand "deep breaths Tess deep breaths" I try soothe her "it hurts so bad"she cries "it's ok love"

"Baby doesn't seem to be turning we are going to have to do an emergency c-section"The doctor tells us this is getting scarier by the second and it's happening so fast

The doctor explains to Tessa what is going to happen and I'm not going to lie I'm absolutely shitting myself right for Tessa she is trying her best to stay calm there is so many people in the room "Tessa stay as still as possible as we give you the epidural"

"Just hold my hand focus on something else"after they finish they lay her down and prepare her

"Hardin if something goes wrong and-"

"No Tessa don't finish that"I stop her "we are about to begin"a voice says and I stay beside Tessa "Everything will be ok soon we will have our new baby and Emery will be so excited and we will take him home and love him watch him grow teach him new things our family will be complete" I whisper into her ear and my eyes start to water "but please Hardin if anything happens take care of Emery and Auden"she is fighting back the tears "no no Tessa you will be there to all of us together"I say and she doesn't respond she just turns her head and I grab her face and kiss her as if it was our last kiss "were ready" I can't look as they start cutting into Tessa I turn back to her just telling her little things to keep her distracted by making her laugh "do you remember that time you got so drunk"

"Which time"She giggles despite the discomfort she is in "the time we went to Vance's club and we had sex in the car"

"Hardin shhh"She covers her face and she flinches a bit "are you ok"

"Ye..ye it just feels weird"I grab her hand again "your doing great"I tell her

"Baby is almost here"one of the doctors say

"Tessa he is nearly here"I look at the doctor then back Tessa and her eyes are closed "Tess" I shake her  and she doesn't move "no no someone help she won't wake up"I shout and a bunch of nurse run over

"we need to get this baby out now"one of them shouts as they put an oxygen mask over her face I look at the heart monitor machine and I can see the heart rate going down and I start to sob "sir we are going to have to ask you to leave"

"I cant leave what if something happens shit"I pull at my hair as I'm brought out of the room no no if something happens to Tessa or the baby I don't know what I will do then my phone starts to ring "Hello"

"Daddy did mommy have the baby"Emery says her voice full of excitement "soon princess I promise"

"Where is mommy"she asks and I wipe the tear falling from my eyes "she..she is uhh just doing something"

"Tell her to ring me when she is done I miss her so much"

"I will princess daddy has to go know but I will ring you soon ok"

"Bye daddy"she hangs up the phone my heart breaks for that little girl at home who is waiting for us both of us I look up and I see a baby been wheeled out of the room "is that him"I ask and the nurse nods "follow me"she says and I do "hey buddy"I pick him up "I'm your daddy"I gently rock him back and forth he slowly opens his eyes and I can tell they will be blue just like Tessa's he looks like me you can see resemblance in the face he is so cute he has this chubby cheeks and he is so calm nothing like his sister

"mommy's not here but she will be soon I promise and you will love her she is the most beautiful women you will ever meet and she already loves you so much"my voice breaks again and I give him a kiss

"Mr Scott it's Tessa"the nurse comes into the room and my heart drops if something is wrong or she didn't make it "what's wrong what happened please just tell me"
