I do the walk of shame downstairs everyone is sitting eating breakfast I can't even look my mum in the eyes when she looks at me "morning son"she says her voice so low "morning mum"I say quickly taking a seat beside Tessa and she is still ignoring me "dad I'm tired"Auden whines laying his head on my shoulder "I know buddy it's the time difference"
"So Emery tell me about your boyfriend"my mum says and Emery blushes "he is not her boyfriend"I mumble and Tessa kicks my feet "his name is Lucas he is not my boyfriend where just hanging out"
"Trish he is so cute and so sweet"Tessa says making Emery smile and my mum takes Emerys hand "tell me everything when you know who isn't in the room"she looks over to me smirking and than she starts coughing and her nurse comes in "are you ok"Tessa jumps up and my mum puts her hand out "I'm fine just happenings every so often"
"I'll take you for a rest"her nurse wheels her out "Emery Auden can you go upstairs I want to talk to your mom"
"Let's go Auden"Emery says getting up and he follows "are you still annoyed"
"Yes"she whispers "but I'm not fighting with you over it what's done is done you did something stupid"
"I know I did Tess fuck"
"Spend time with her today"
"Just alone like 2 of us"
"When was the last time yous where alone just the two of yous"She asks me "that one time she was in New York and you went the bathroom"

"Sorry I don't know how to be in serious situations"I tell her hoping she would show me some sympathy and she does "ugh your lucky I love you"she kisses me "I knew you couldn't stay mad at me"she playfully rolls her eyes "I'm going up to the kids"she leaves the room and I go into my mums room the nurse has just finished helping her into bed and connecting her to her machines "Hardin what are you doing in here"she looks confused "I thought I would spend the day with you"
"Really"her eyes light up "ye if you want"
"Of course come beside me"she pushes the space on the bed beside her and I get up beside her the nurse finishes what ever she was doing and leaves the room "how are you feeling"I ask her "I'm feel fine I'm happy yous are here"she smiles but I can tell she is in pain and struggling to breathe properly I take the remote and turn on the tv and put her favourite show on
A few times in the last couple of hours she has seem to have gotten worse Tessa and the kids haven't bothered us it really has just been us to alone but every so often the nurse comes in
"Hard..Hardin can I as ask ...you a question"my mum says weakly "of course"
"Was....I a go...good mother"she surprises me by asking "of course you where"
"Your...not just say saying that....are you"she asks "mum you where the only women I ever used to love and you where the only person who cared for me even though I was a complete dickhead you used to do everything for me"
"You mean it"she says her eyes tearing up "I swear mum you are the best mum you thought me everything growing up how to ride a bike how to drive everything even at the hardest of times you always put me first with everything I put you through and your the best grandmother"

"And they love you so much and Tessa loves you aswell and so do I, I love you mum"I tell her "that makes me so happy son I love you"her eyes start to tear and she turns back to the T.V I have a weird gut feeling that's somethings bad is going to happen I hear light snores coming from my mum and I take her hand in mine
"Trish how are you feeling"the nurse comes back into the room I must of fell asleep "trish"the nurse says again and I snap my head to the side the nurse runs over to the machine that starts making loads of noises "mum no mum"I try wake her up and her body goes into a fit "what the fuck is happening"I shout "her body is shutting down it's gone into a fit I need to calm it her body's stops shaking but she won't wake up "you have to make a descion you can turn of the machine or you can keep it on but if I'm been honest it's time the longer she stays her the more pain she is in and I have given her all the drugs"the nurse tells me and I nod I'm trying my best to hold my tears in I always thought I would die before my mum and know that she is dying I don't know what to do
I nod to the nurse and she starts switching different buttons of and she leaves us alone again "please mum you can't do this"my voice breaks and the tears come "don't die stay here please I still want you here"I say and the machine starts beeping till it goes slowly until there's no noise at all "I love you so much mum"I kiss her forehead that's no cold the colour gone from her skin
I sit there steering at her for about 30 minutes until the nurse comes in to tell me the ambulance is in the way
I walk out of the room and Tessa is standing out side she just looks and me and I think she can tell what happened because she just wraps her arms around me and I slid down onto the ground "ah..she's gone Tess"
"Hardin"her voice breaks "I'm so sorry"
"My mum she's gone"I sob into her chest
